At about 50% reporting, Cayuhoga has Kerry leading by 80k+ votes. I'd say that means the Cayuhoga area can add about 100k to 120k more votes to Kerry's Ohio total... but Kerry is already down by about 120k. So that would even Ohio up and then add the remaining counties - Bush territory. It's not completely over yet, but soon.

we need more then a 1-2 state margin of victory, otherwise its going to be a court battle. I hear nothing about Iowa, Minn or Wisconsin, what the heck is happening there?

What's keeping the lines open in Florida is probably the same thing keeping the lines open currently in Ohio. There were far many more people showing up to vote than the polling stations were prepared to handle. It's that simple. I know of people who waited 3 or 4 hours today to vote, and the media reported one place in Ohio where people waited 7 hours.
Here in Ohio, we will be voting until midnight.

I want to go to sleep but I can't. I wish someone could ping me and wake me up when Ohio comes in. Maybe in the future of Freeprepublic.

=== IT IS NOW ALL ABOUT OHIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You gotta be kidding me. (Well, whoever said this best be kidding.)

Guess we'll see if O'Dell was whistling Dixie after all or whether all the court filings were just fanning an impending Electronic Voting "Election Crisis."

Hope I got Vitter right. You were also for sovereign rights to hunt, trap and fish and liberal interpretation of the homestead exemption so long it was just the one place. Oh yeah, and the best MAN on the ticket.

I'm cautiously optimistic that the precincts that are counted to date in SD are from the eastern portion of the state, and that Thune's margin will increase as the results move west into the more rural parts of the state.

And so far no Blue state has gone red and no red state has gone blue. It's 2000 except Ohio is the new Florida.

FYI...I'm not watching the TV, even though I'm a remote maniac. I've done nothing but view FR and it's been a hoot...much better than the first debate, huh?

It's like a FReeper mind meld.

But the number of absentee ballots is supposed to be not all that large, not enough to change the outcome.
