Looks like I picked the wrong night to join Free Republic. o_O Trial by fire for me ... following the networks at the moment.
Heck, they're still driving the chads out of their Goreholes (or Kerryholes, I guess).
FOX is full of crap tonight. My husband's calling them CNN-lite.
Look fast. Bush ahead in MI for the last time tonight. .000001% of precincts reporting
What district is Miami in?
BUSH 1,473,913 56%
KERRY 1,135,300 43%
1/3 of vote in -- BUSH lead now over 300,000 -- AND THEY WON'T CALL IT?????????
UP OVER 300,000 VOTES IN FLORDIA NOW! 31% REPORTING...
Bush Rep 1,473,913 56 0
Kerry Dem 1,135,300 43 0
LMAO, I never watch it. I'm glad....
I don't have cable TV, the local FOX stations are carrying it for election coverage. I see I'm not missing anything ;)
I love FR!!!!
Isn't it a GOP area?
There's only one thing for it!
I'm going to have a drink...and try to be kind to my fingernails!!!!
I sure hope you're right.
Sorry, but I'm naming my ulcer "ohio"
Ryan could have been an effective candidate. He cou;ld have run on righteous indignation that the media acted as it did. Instead, he fled. No doubt, due to the complete lack of support from the party. Bringing in Keyes was an utter capitulation. Ryan at least could have marked time. And who is there in this state to lead the Republicans forward??? No one interesting.
He just said (8:45 pm EST) that the main reason why they're taking so long to call some of these states (like Va.) that should be slam dunks for Bush is they are comparing actual results to earlier exit polling and having trouble matching the two up.
Specifically, he said they've repeatedly found that exit polls have noticably underestimated the Bush vote, with the actuals coming in stronger than anticipated, and FNC wanted to take the additional step of trying to figure out why there were such discrepancies before calling some of these states.
If this is true of "safe" Bush states...hey, we'll see.
He was referring to EXIT POLLING ... saying that they might have been way off!
Silliest return of the night:
C-SPAN reporting in Maine:
Bush: 2 (100%)
Kerry: 0 (0%)
Unfortunately, C-Span's, OH results are after reporting more votes than the state site. NJ is a lot closer now than when it was given to Kerry.
Kristol just corrected himself on air. Bush took 50% of Hispanic vote in FL in 2000 - exit polls give them 55% this year.
