"Yes people may just start to respect a higher authority now..."

I'm guessing by 'people' you mean liberals? I would hope so, but I doubt that respect, though greatly needed, is going to materialize.

(My own personal solution to curing a liberal of liberalism is 'Who's your Daddy?' A Liberal's Plea for Dad ....)

ROFLMBO!!!

I have a Columbus Ohio T.V. station on (ch.4) and they just showed a clip of dEdwards little speech about not conceeding, re. Ohio. It was a scream watching it because it looked like a 'Japanese movie' translated into English......the lips did NOT match up to the voice coming out from them. (hehehe)

Sorry if any typos or lack of coherency...I've been up since yesterday.

FRrom http://jaycost.blogspot.com/

This is disgusting...
...what the MSM is doing.

Here is what is up. You have CNN, CBS, ABC and the AP calling Nevada for Bush, but not calling Ohio for Bush.

Meanwhile, you have NBC and Fox calling Ohio for Bush, but not calling Nevada for Bush.

All of this amounts to a cheap ploy by all parties to keep the race from being called. Why? Because Kedwards refuses to concede...this is unprecedented. The networks are bowing to a campaign.

You know why this is a cheap ploy? Because they are not doing the same thing in Pennsylvania. PA cast more votes than OH, and Kerry's margin of victory is less than Bush's margin in OH. But they sure as hell are keeping PA on Kerry's board.

Shame on them. Shame on all of them. What lousy coverage tonight (Fox's was atrocious!). What lousy exit polls, what stupid, slavish reliance on these exit polls in the early part of the evening. What generally inane babbling from start to finish. Nobody in the MSM had a single decent thing to say all year. They spent their time pondering the effects of "new voters," of the Redskins loss yesterday, of Kerry's picture at NASA. They paraded campaign flack after campaign flack, peddling nothing but the same empty talking points, every hour on the hour -- and chalked it up to "analysis" or "debate." They had nothing intelligent or insightful to say about anything for 13 months. They slavishly paid attention to polls with bad methodology, and poll "averages" that were not even close to it. What a puffed up, egotistical bunch of dunderheads. They had their heads up their you-know-what since the Dean "phenomenon," and though this denouement disgusts me, it does not surprise me.

What a cheap, cheap ploy at the end of the race. It caps off what I believe to be just a generally pathetic coverage of this horserace. I cannot express how despicable I find this whole thing.

The bottom line on Nevada: all the precints are in. It is not an issue of projection. Fox and NBC just will not call it because it would mean they would call the whole race for Bush. Meanwhile, the guy won the popular vote by 3.56 million votes. My guess is that Fox's motivation is different from the rest of the MSM. They just don't want to be first to call it for Bush.

This is just disgusting.

By the by -- my hat is off to Pew. They called this election perfectly. Only ones to do it.

Allegra - you are a solider there? I apologize to you and all the folks over there for this. This should have already been in the bag and in a sense it is but something creepy is going on and the MSM, including Fox (Fox is just going along with it) are making a game of it.

I'm a civilian contractor working in support of the military. (Hint: Kerry and Co. HATE my employer.)

Nobody owes an apology except the childish, leftist media and the Kerry gang who are acting like a bunch of spoiled children

After a nerve-wracking morning for us watching CNN International, we're pretty relaxed and comfortable about the way this thing is going to end up.

A very quiet WOOOOOHOOOO!!!!

Little Tommy Daschle is deluded. Here are the current results:

U S SENATE
(D) DASCHLE TOM 192,157 49 824 827
(R) THUNE JOHN 197,642 51 824 827

3 precincts are out -- 2 in Shannon County on a Reservation, one in rural Hanson County in Eastern South Dakota. Shannon County has a population of 12,466 and 10 precincts. 2/10*12,466= 2493.

Hanson County has a population of 3,139 and 8 precincts. Approximately 1/8*3,139= 392 people there.

Thune is up by about 5,500. About many dead people will have to turn out to vote in the remaining precincts for Daschle to lose as living, breathing residents (many of whom won't be adults anyway) of those areas.

Sorry, little Tommy! There's no way you can get that many dead people to rise from the grave. You lose!

Please tell us you're DEEPLY, DEEPLY SADDENED!

Quick Npr blurb:

CARTER
Johnson
CLinton

Only 3 democrats in last 50 years to win all southerners.

Humphrey
Dukasis
Kerry
Mondale

All 4 democrats lost, all 4 northern/midwestern liberals. All lost by pretty big margins. Bottom line, THE SOUTH IS A WINNER REGARDLESS OF PARTY!!!

The best tidbit: 18-29 demographic national vote. Only 54 percent went for Kerry. Outstanding implications for future demographic profiles of voting!!

Maybe Tommy wants to stand in solidarity with Kerry? They could both be fitted with straitjackets.

We are just now hearing Rush's last pre-election program. A woman from Ohio said that her name was not on the list and she and her husband had to vote provisionally. Coincidental.

This could not be a better result. Most popular votes ever, comfortable electoral spread. And the 'rats exposing themselves as the party of SoreLosermen.
