I just went back to my heavily Demoratic polling site. Dead. Noone. Nada. This morning was reasobably busy. Now it is dead. I believe GOPers will continue to turn out heavy later in day after work as well. I will update at 6pm to let you know how site is.

Anyone near a GOP site in Florida. We should compare lines or lack there of.

i have shirts older than you. One thing for all, i'm worried that if the Dems are aware their precincts are empty now...will they try to GOTV or worse, go vote again?

Royal Palm Beach in the Acreage had a small line at 11am when I went. Maybe 20 people tops. I was in and out in 20 minutes. The "seasoned" citizens that were there were clueless and needed constant help with voting machines. One lady was pressing the "touch" screen so hard she about knocked the whole machine over. A poll worker had to admonish her to take it easy. Just a very soft touch and it responds. I just heard on the Schnittshow.com 610am WIOD that a few people said their machines started voting by themselves (Kerry) when their cards were inserted. They had to get new rebooted cards. My wife is at the polls and said it was dead all day. There is now starting to be a line as they get off work. It's 5 o'clock now.

I'm in Seminole County too, polling place on Maitland Blvd. I tried early this morning to vote but only made it as far as the parking lot. No spaces left (very small place) and what looked to be 150 to 200 (that's about double what it was in 2000) in line so I decided to try again later. Got there between 9:30 and 9:45, hardly any wait, estimating about 40 - 50 people. Husband and I were bumped up in the line because the L through R line was vacant. So we got in and out in no time.

Son just got home and he estimated about 40 people waiting while he was there.

Hey! Just got a call from Ahnold! He was calling to pump up my vote. :-)

Winter Park, Florida here. Voted this AM and waited an hour and 15 minutes. Someone drove passed the line and said "yell for George".The crowd broke out in a resounding cheer, much to the dismay of the poll watcher across the street. Though I loved that citizens came out in mass I still think there should be a real overhaul of the election system here. The poll workers though sweet and helpful, are still volunteers that have difficulty handling even the smallest glitch. There were several calls to the supervisors office some just because of being overwhelmed by the sheer number of voters crammed into the building with lines going nowhere. This morning it was cool so we just laughed it off, but this afternoon in 88 degree heat, it could try some nerves.Drove past at 4 pm lots of cars but no lines

I've got a question for Palm Beach, but they're ignoring my (out-of-state) email and telephone (faxes).

Can I get you to relay a "local" question to them about 2000 results? (Maybe they'll answer a local/walk-in question.)

or worse, go vote again

A local radio show had a caller that said he voted early on saturday and wanted to test the system. So, he went to his precinct to see if he could vote again. He and his wife were both able to vote again and said he was still on the list. He said he did not vote again and notified a few poll watchers of the situation. They said they would look into it. Early voting is nothing but an invitation to fraud.

I live 30 miles from the election headquarters and rarely, if ever, get up that way during business hours.

We tried for two solid weeks, to no avail, to call about our voter registration cards that had not arrived until this past week. No one answered the phone. So, it has nothing to do with you trying from out of state - just not enough help to answer the volume of calls that they get.

If you want me to try from my email, FReepmail me your question and I'll give it a shot.

Is this due to the fact that Republicans work, and Democrats are usually at home?
