Justin, a graduate student in Madison, reports:
In 2000 I was a sophmore, turnout seems slightly down here compared to 2000, Nader supporters were a big factor in this town--not so this year.
In 2000, a few friends and I tried three times to vote, standing in line a half an hour each time before we finally had to give up and go to class--this year I just walked right up.
Even one of the poll workers said she was 'expecting more.'
I dont know if more students voted absentee this time or what--but in a city John Kerry desperately needs to get huge margins so far the students aren't stacking up at the polls just yet.

They must have voted early. Although I'm surprized they're not back voting their fraudulent names though.
Four Words for Wisconsin:
"New England Milk Compact"
Add Kerry's lame responses about it, Wisconsin dairy industry folk have a big urge to vote.
7-8 point Wisconsin victory for Bush.
ping
This is good news..
In 2000, a few friends and I tried to vote three times
Edited for clarity.
I live on the far West side of Madison, it was packed at 7am. I had to leave for work, so I returned to vote at about 11am, and it took about a half hour. I was in the 1150~ish range for votes cast.
What you can do with that info, I have no idea. :)
New England Milk Compact
AND.....
Kerry's lies on gun control his alliegance to the Feinstein Schumer Brady Bunch
John F Kerry WILL take your guns...
Wisconsinites (the real ones) are very pro military and support our troops.....
They know John F Kerry is a traitor and sold out Vietnam vets POWs MIAs and their families
and expect him to do the same to this generation...
We Wisconsinites have a lot of our young troopers in Iraq and Afghanistan right now
If true, great news for Tim Michels and not so great news for Rusty Feingold.
They must've voted after the Springsteen show
How is this a bad thing?
FWIW, Joe Scarborough said it again on Chrissy Matthews show last night, the youth vote is the most unpredictable vote and many candidates who devote a lot of time to capturing it wake up the day after election day wishing they'd pursued the senior vote instead.
In my opinion, students that are backing Kerry should just stay home and study, not vote...after all, if they are backing a loser like Kerry they need all the smarts they can get!
Wasn't there a thread about how the "early voting" push after the Springsteen/sKerry concert was a bust?
Hopefully, this means the MTV is not motivated and is ambivalent about voting for skerry.
Rusty Feingold? that sounds like the punchline to the joke about the nymphomaniac who only likes Jewish cowboys.
Well, that's a little more imaginative than I would have come up with, but that's the direction I was headed.... ;^)
THERE'S ONLY TWO WORDS NEEDED IN SUMMARIZING KERRY'S CHANCES IN WISCONSIN. THEY ARE:
"..LAMBERT FIELD...."
She is a uw-madison grad and as a result still suffers from the indoctrination received from the school here...except when I ask her who is going to pay for all these idiotic entitlement programs...
vote!
