UPDATE: VOTES 'FOUND ON MACHINES' IN PHILLY BEFORE POLLS OPEN
Before voting even began in Philadelphia -- Republican poll watchers believed they found nearly 2000 votes already planted on machines scattered in heavy-minority locations throughout the city.
Republican poll watchers claim:
One incident occurred at the SALVATION ARMY, 2601 N. 11th St., Philadelphia, Pa: Ward 37, division 8.
Pollwatchers uncovered 4 machines with planted votes; one with over 200 and one with nearly 500...
A second location, 1901 W. Girard Ave., Berean Institute, Philadelphia, Pa, had 300+ votes already on 2 machines at start of day.
ANOTHER INCIDENT: 292 votes on machine at start of day; WARD/DIVISION: 7/7: ADDRESS: 122 W. Erie Ave., Roberto Clemente School, Philadelphia, Pa..
ANOTHER: 456 votes on machine at start of day; WARD/DIVISION: 12/3; ADDRESS: 5657 Chew Ave., storefront, Philadelphia, Pa...

The Kerry Campaign says reports of votes already on machines are 'false.'
"Serious news will not appear first on the DRUDGE gossip website," senior Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart told reporters.
Officially, election officials explain the discrepancy is being caused by a number showing how many times various machines have been used.
But officials could not explain why used machines in other locations were reportedly 'clean.'
Elsewhere, a gun was purposely made visible to scare poll watchers at Ward 30, division 11, at 905 S. 20th St., Grand Court. Police were called and quickly surrounded the location...

"Check out two precincts on the way to work (one leans bush, other definitely bush) ... in northeastern PA ... "
I saw the same on my way to work. well over 100 vehicles parked along Rt. 309 in Dallas. First time in 10 years I ever saw that. Looking good!
I'm with you mirk!
Philly DA said that one checked both had a counter with numbers from a previous election.
Note to self: GO VOTE!!!
Over and out.
Fox is reporting the DA says the numbers on the ONE machine she looked at is a counter for the entire history of the machine, not today's vote.
Have also worked at a poll where there were more votes at the end of the day than we had people sign in.
Have also been a pollwatcher for ABC news, long ago. The polling placed locked the doors to count.....which is against the law.....and did not let me in to watch the recording of the numbers. Called it in with the story of what happened. No consequences at all.
The inner cities are a third world country gotten that way by corruption since the beginning of our country.
FOX reporting one official stating that the number on ONE machine is actually the total votes on the machine (life-time) and NOT votes for this election. Only one machine checked.
Are these new machines? The numbers are so low to make me not believe these are lifetime votes for a suburb in PA.
That does not explain the Gun part that is on DRUDGE. DA only looked at one machine.
Good question.
You couldn't be more incorrect. The state carry laws apply to every jurisdiction. Philly and Allegheny get to do the permit process through the cops. In the rest of the state, it's handled by the sheriffs.
I smell a democratic judge rat. No way these machines only has a couple of hundred lifetime votes.
locked and loaded
Hang in there! President Bush is getting lots of prayers today. So are you!
BTTT!!
Pepperhead agrees. The most votes I have heard was 488. There is just no way that is the lifetime count on one of these machines... I know what their next explanation is going to be. It was test votes.
I thought I read that PA had new voting machines. 400+ would seem like an acceptable trial amount for ballots and voting machines. I also can see a use for having a second reading for ALL votes registered in all elections so they know when the machine is getting too old.
But all charges need to be checked out. If it has two readings on the machine and one is at zero and one is at 400+ then this sounds legitimate to me....just make sure the votes are tallied with TODAYS votes only!
Nah......
