I have been doing work for two candidates, One a guy running for PA State House, and another one in the US House (John Peterson)... From what I'm hearing higher up in the campaigns, the GOP voting turnout in this rural area of PA (that went 62-34 to Bush) is OFF THE FRICKIN CHARTS!!!
They actually think Pennsylvania is going to goto Bush.. I'll get more when I hear it!!!!!
Hoo-Haa!
Bush 55%....Kerry 44%
If Bush wins, could be the last time we'll have to watch the MSM. In four years, they will be irrelevant.
I'm in Oklahoma and I live right next to the voting place, the cars are parked about 1/2 block away with people going to vote. I've never seen that many people there, 2000 wasn't even close to that.
I think it's a double whammy effect, and the brilliant part of Rove's strategy.
Kerry voters have one thing driving them to the polls, Bush hatred.
Bush voters have two things. Love and admiration for the President, as well as distaste, distrust, and downright disgust with John Kerry.
Chester County is full of Kerry signs. I live near West Chester, and just finished voting in West Whiteland Township. 1 hour wait @ 7AM. A lot of 'scruffy' looking people. Polls had two MoveOn.Pac poll watchers. Overnight, someone hung a HUGE banner over the Route 30 highway bypass with "W" logo that read "W"idomaker. Over the weekend on the "Blue" Route, Rt 476, near the Lima exit (in Delaware County), someone had spray-painted grafitti about the 1000+ dead in Iraq on one of the highway supports.
:(
I fear for Pennsylvania. The "T" will have to come to the rescue.
If it's record turnout it does!!
Well, we volunteers did our best. Knocked on hundreds and hundreds of doors in Philly. Only got yelled at twice by Dems...

Terrific. I am in the Peoples Republic of Maryland, just south of you in Howard County. I'll drop you a PM.
I was getting some cheap Russian ammo (Wolf), non-reloadable, from Cheaper Than Dirt, that I need to try out. The range at Ft. Meade is only open to us once a month...and if it is lousy weather, you are SOL.
Woo hoo! And now for another Bush victory!
I voted this morning after standing in line for 50 minutes. I have never had to wait in line before. The Republican base is out in force. The 19th Congressional district does not even have a Democrat on the ticket for congress. Republicans in this district usually win with 60% to 80% of the vote. I think it is looking good for PA, just depends on having enough people in Central PA to counter the voter turn out in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
He's beginning to see the light. He's never been a kool-aid drinker and is a real patriot. I also read Unfit for Command and read him bits and pieces from it. But it was the pic of Kerry in the Hanoi museum that really clinched his traitor status. He also saw a huge difference in the dem and repub conventions. He's talked about changing parties, although I think we are a long way from that. The one politician he has admired over the years was Carter but has done a 180% on that after seeing him speak this summer.
You gun-toting Republican Thug! 8^)
(I just may do the same)
I am sure you did somerville, wasn't trying to imply that Bush folks out that way did anything less than their best... just stating the cold hard factual realities of this state. Not trying to debase or demoralize anyone.
Probably trying to influence Jersey commuters who exit at Penn. Interestingly, they were also up in the Times Square area.
Can the Amish use computerized ballots?
"The folks in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are all vile and disgust me."
Easy now that's a pretty broad bush n at.
I stood in line imy my rural Ohio area for 1/2 hour this AM - never waited over 5 minutes before, but I was earlier than usual.
Bush needs to carry the Pittsburgh and Philly suburbs and win BIG in the countryside in between to take the state. If he can do that, he'll be re-elected and what happens in Ohio won't matter. Hope to God that happens - we could use some good news tonight.
