I work in dowtown Cleveland and just returned home from there. The Kerry rally is right across the street from the building where I work. The appearance is quite different than what you are seeing on C-SPAN. It is a relatively small area with a relatively small and quiet crowd. For the size of Cleveland, the rally is extremely disappointing. The usual union people and liberals are basically the only ones there. Compare this to the crowds and enthusiasm that W draws. Our great President WILL WIN OHIO!
combine this with the fact their 'huge' outdoor rally in milwakee today drew 1,000 to 2,000 tops...instensitivy of support differential --- HUGE.
How many people do you think were there??
bump
Entertainment by Ricky Skaggs and the Kentucky Thunder. Senator Grassley introduced W. It was great to see Laura and the twins there, also.
The place was packed and rock'in. The weather was lousy with rain and drizzle -- didn't cut the crowd at all. I would estimate close to 15,000 attending. Enthusiasm is high.
Yep, they always manage to make them look REALLY big from what they present on TV. You would think the MSM would not pander like that... </sarcasm>
Seeing it on FOX Now, looks small,Thanks
I just got back from the Bush rally in Sioux City, IA, and it ROCKED!!!
Thanks for the eyewitness account! This is great news. I have wondered about Kerry's audiences, and I get the impression they're not as big as Bush's.
Interesting...
I just watched Hannity and he predicted 300 EV for Bush and pop vote between 52-53%, what is interesting is big mouth Colmes....he did not say that Kerry would win, he said "it could go either way" and left it at that. He also started by saying "well, remember I did say that the President could probably pull this out, but now I think it could go either way". I think he knows the dems are in trouble! LOL
Thanks for the photos. I can't believe I live 17 miles from the ranch, photograph for the paper, and have never gotten to see him. bummer. Course, you don't need to have rallys for W in Texas.
excuse me for not knowing in's and out's, but I heard on Fox an hour ago that 6th Circuit appeals had overturned earlier ruling blocking pollwatchers. I don't see a thread on it.
Those pictures are awesome. Wish there was a rally close to this red state.
BTW, tonight we were working the Rep headquarters and got 5 phone calls from people who said the Republican party had called them to let them know their voting pole had changed. Of course, we had not made those calls, how desparate. Bunning will win!!
There is a thread here somewhere about that.
Is this the rally at which "the Boss" was performing (again) with "the Loss"?
Thanks for posting those pictures... it looks like it was a great crowd!! Go Bush :)
Low crowds mean "rats must be running out of crack...need to call George Soreass for a re-supply
Sorry, but I have no idea how many people are there, but I can tell you that it's small and quiet, and I would be very disappointed if I were Kerry/Edwards. I watched them set it up yesterday (Sunday) from my office window on the 29th floor. They just have two tiny, tiny bleachers. They didn't have to set up hardly anything. While I was walking to lunch today, a man handing out tickets to the rally asked me if I wanted some. He saw my "BUSH" sticker and said, "Oh, I guess not."
Thanks for the awesome pictures. They are reassuring in this time of uncertainty.
