I work in dowtown Cleveland and just returned home from there. The Kerry rally is right across the street from the building where I work. The appearance is quite different than what you are seeing on C-SPAN. It is a relatively small area with a relatively small and quiet crowd. For the size of Cleveland, the rally is extremely disappointing. The usual union people and liberals are basically the only ones there. Compare this to the crowds and enthusiasm that W draws. Our great President WILL WIN OHIO!
That coat---wrong color altogether. Looks like too much mustard. Giving me reflux.
In my small town of 26,000 people, 3,000 showed up at the airport last Friday to see and hear Dick Cheney!
Pennsylvania is Bush-Cheney Country.
300,000 tickets!! They are full of horse hockey!
Hey, THATS a crowd.
Thanks for the link!
Here are a few photos of the twins.

President Bush filled the Target Center in Minneapolis. The rally was electrifying! As for the rally Kerry had here at the Metrodome, it was held in the pit area in front of the Metrodome...not inside. The pit area is not very big...there really isn't much room around the outside of the Metrodome. People who were in the area and a helicopter pilot who flew over said the crowd for Kerry looked like about 5,000 even though the Mpls Star reported the higher number.
Kerry...
Kerry
That warms my heart. :) And the pictures of the audience I've seen, they certainly did not look enthusiastic. (And not old enough to vote anyhow)
I read that 48 people showed up when Chelsea was speaking and 9 walked away in the middle of it. I thought it was in Florida though. Later in the day in another town of Florida supposedly 1,000 turned up. Chelsea was traveling with Corina Gore, Carolyn Kennedy and Vanessa Kerry.
Just watching Bruce in Cleveland and the crowd is very small, Bush in NM was a lot bigger.Bruce's career was largely born in Cleveland, along with NJ. I saw him (quite illegally) in 1978 at a small hall (Agora) which was one of the best shows I've ever seen. He's always been big here, which is why Jean Francoise Kerre had him here.
Considering that Springsteen was there, the size of that "crowd" appears pah-thet-tic.

It's not just the camera angles in Kerry's case. If you notice, the pictures are taken when the air is full of confetti. Look carefully and you will see a few people with a ton of confetti! LOL.
Bush has Bernie Kosar, Chris Spielman, Bob Feller, and Jack Nicklaus
Not to mention Lynn Swann, Anthony Munoz, Ernie Banks, Kerri Strug, and John "maybe you're semi-forgiven if Bush carries Colorado" Elway.
Meanwhile:
Hey Cleveland! Art and David Modell are now Democrats.

I watched part of Kerry's Cleveland rally. Pathetic. Body language speaks volumes. Kerry gestures like a king does over his subjects. Crowd not enthused, no reaching hands, fake forced cheers. AND, you should have seen the litter left behind on the field. Can you imagine a Bush voter leaving a Bush/Cheney sign behind?
I used to be a big Springsteen fan. I know he has not done a concert for the troops since 9-11. And probably never has. He did some work for Vietnam vets in the 70s.
When I saw the musical CHESS in London, there was a scene in which Freddy (the American) was interviewing Anatoly (the Russian). One could simultaneously watch the interview on stage and on large screens; it was very interesting the way the use of camera angles distorted the actors' body language. Cameras can do all sorts of tricks.
Thanks for the report from Ohio.
Our son and daughter were born in Columbus in the mid-80's. Ohio is a beautiful state. My father-in-law served aboard the WWII submarine USS Cod which is moored on your waterfront.
Springsteen should pluck guitar strings. If he knew anything about work, he would vote Republican.
He's such an ass.
So you noticed that also. Too am getting sick of watching him in that jacket. He must think that it makes him into a regular person.
