I heard there were 10,000 people at VP Cheney's rally
And Al Gore only pulled in 1,200 at his ... :0)
Look forward to seeing good news from the 50st State late tomorrow night!
Beautiful photos. Must be tough being there, but someone had to be! LOL
LOL! Can always count on a FReeper for a laugh.
Seriously, how cool is it that Cheney went to Hawaii and that we are even talking about the possibility that it may go red?
OK, guess I'm just envious....... Nice Pics!!!
Gov. Lingle told the crowd our size was 10,000 - and I'm sure they counted heads as we all came in the door.
What was the crowd like? Completely, 100% stoked. Many of us locals have been waiting a lifetime for a rally like this. My Dad says he remembers Nixon coming in '60, but I was just a little thing then.
I was wondering who would show up, and it warmed my heart to see we had a wonderful cross-section of Hawaii's people. For example, sitting in front of me were two lovely old Hawaiian women. They are sisters, 76 and 77 - they wouldn't tell us which was which! They were charming and friendly. Told us how they brought up their children to work hard. So much for the myth about lazy Hawaiians! They're praying for Pres. Bush and so am I.
Actually, yes, I'm in shorts and the AC is on. It's HUMID today! Fall? What was that? Snow? Never heard of it (actually I'm quite familiar with the stuff, having grown up in Michigan).
Who would have thought that Hawaii was even a remote possibility? Kerry and company must be messin' their drawers over things like this.
Where? I grew up in northern Michigan, Boyne City.
Southwest - about 20 miles north of South Bend IN. Cheney actually made a stop there this year, too. It's a small little 2 or 3 stoplight town, Berrien Springs.
Couldn't justify $600 skins to fly over from Maui last night, however, we were there "in sprit" and with that "spirit" we will put the cherry on top of W's reelection cake in about 26 hours.
Bank on it,
Kahuna
Great photos from Hawaii of our man and his lady

Wonderful pictures. What fun!
I'm a native Texan. I tried to go to that big crater on Maui (forgot the name....) in 1986.
We got there and the roads were blocked due to snow. I was stunned.
They said it was the first snowfall that stuck, in many years.
Figures. A Texan has to go to Hawaii for snow......
Thank you for the link, snugs. Wow, they look great!
Haleakala. Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are usually the only ones to get snow. You were "fortunate." ;-)
It's interesting that President Bush is taking the lovely Laura to all his appearances, and Lynne Cheney travels with her hubby and is front and center, while Teresa seems to have been kept in a lockbox the last few days.
Haleakala. Yep that was the one!
I was sorry I missed it, but I'll go back when my daughter turns 21. Just a couple more years!
