Here's what I think.
Bush should have nuked Kerry's argument on the global test. Bush should have relentlessly hammered Kerry for his no vote on Gulf War I.
Bush shouldn't have let Kerry invoke Reagan-- Bush should've pointed out that Kerry was no Reagan ally during the 80s.
Bush should have went after Soros. If you're gonna go out, go out swinging. It is an effing mystery to me why Bush didn't mention Soros and all the other billionaires for Kerry.
Bush should have played the video from MClaughlin where Kerry said: Of course, we're going to win in Afghanistan, but now we have to turn our focus to Saddam Hussein and drain the terror swamp.
Bush allowed Kerry to say over and over again that we "diverted from Afghanistan" meanwhile Kerry is on record calling for a "diversion".
Bush should have talked about Kerry's block of the energy bill. By blocking that, Kerry blocked good paying jobs.
Bush should have seized upon the Evan Thomas quote saying that the media would give Kerry 15 points and outted the media (to the morons who make up the undecided0 as unreliable and hopelessly in the tank for Kerry.
When I look at Rove and Hughes, I don't see great strategists. I see people who had a winner and worked real hard to make it a probable loser.
And, btw, the people of Ohio suck. I just called some folks in OH and they are total a-holes. No wonder it ain't looking so hot there.

So what if "Islamist website Al-Qal'a explained what this sentence meant: "This message was a warning to every U.S. state separately". They, for whatever reason, are spinning what UBL said.

Bush. The U.S. media in general mistranslated the words "ay wilaya" (which means "each U.S. state")(2) to mean a "country" or "nation" other than the U.S., while in fact the threat was directed specifically at each individual U.S. state. This suggests some knowledge by bin Laden of the U.S. electoral college system. In a section of his speech in which he harshly criticized George W. Bush, bin Laden stated: "Any U.S. state that does not toy with our security automatically guarantees its own security."

Well I hope you're right. But I can see this spinning other ways. That UBL is still out there able to make videotapes is not a good thing for us.

I gotta get off here and go listen to Rush. You know, the technology really is there to make such a tape, so perfect that experts could'nt tell the difference. Especially for someone with unlimited finances hiring the best in the business and providing the best equipment available.
