Hurrah for the Poles and anyone who evesr told a "Polish joke",should now appologize. These people are far more intelligent than the French and Germans. In Europe the stereotype is the reverse. Poles are seen as being intellectual. At least that's what my Polish dad told me. Any Euro-Poles out there?

Hurrah for the Poles and anyone who ever told a "Polish joke",should now appologize. These people are far more intelligent than the French and Germans. Many of those "Polish jokes" were based on the false notion that Poland was a "backward" country. Over time, we have seen that Poland is not so much "backward" as it is hesitent to change its ways for no good reason. In other words, Poles are conservative by nature.
How foolish some of the more "progressive" nations of Europe seem in comparison. The spirit of King Sobieski lives on - and that's no joke.

And, isn't it amazing how the media chose to use the color red to show the areas that voted for Bush, and blue for the areas that voted for the RED candidate?

Thankyou Poland, I fear you will soon be faced by a new threat, a united and totarian western Europe. It is my hope that as freedom dies in Western Europe it will thive in eastern Europe, Poland in particular. I have high hopes for Russia too. Poland certainly needs a strong, free, Christan Russia if Poland is to stand against a Pagan Euro and it's thirst for world domination.
Keep a close eye on this Euro thing, looks to me like the same old German plan to dominate Europe and the world. Don't be fooled, the Germans have been trying the same damn thing for well over 2,000 years!

same old German plan to dominate Europe You must be joking. It's a Soviet plan. People have ALWAYS pointed out that turning 'euro' socialist was the Soviet plan. I suspect that tanks will roll, once again, in Poland. They have a history of such 'openness', followed by tyrannical reimposition.

I've also heard that the Phillipines is heavily for Bush, which is a major reason why Hawaii is competitive - Filipino Americans are strongly supporting our President.
To: Aquinasfan
"Poles are seen as being intellectual."
Perhaps sometimes in UK. Germans like to say "Heute gestolen, morgen in Polen" etc.
To: No Dems 2004
Filipino Americans are strongly supporting our President.
This could narrow Kerry's margin in California, where most Filipino Americans live. My dad and his family are originally from the Philippines, and I can't think of one of them who are Democrats!
