The presidential choice this year is between a believer and a thinker. Sen. John F. Kerry is clever and knows many things. George W. Bush knows one big thing. The debates were between two boxers, a jabber and a hooker Ali and Frazier, perhaps one who floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee and a bull that bores in till he bangs a hard one to the chin.
But there were no knockouts. Mr. Kerry won on points. He was confident, smooth and articulate. He danced circles around President Bush, who awkwardly absorbed punishment untill he could finally land his big left fist. "Global test." Bang. Mr. Kerry almost went to the mat. It resounds today, and as the president's bruises and bumps heal Mr. Kerry's head still aches from the blow that came when he dropped his guard.
Question: Does America really want a commander-in-chief who subordinates security to a "global test?" What, pray, is that? Is it the United Nations, whose impotence and incompetence is exceeded only by its hypocrisy and corruption? Is that Mr. Kerry's sentry of our safety? What of George Bush? What does he propose? Everyone can see that he is truly a believer, a man of faith. He does not know as many wonderful things as the senator, but he believes a man with faith has enough, and a man without it does not. Faith is his strength, and it takes a faith to defeat a faith an idea to defeat an idea.
In Vietnam we wondered why our enemy was so resolute and our ally was not. The answer was simple. The enemy believed, with the fervor of faith, and won.

President Bush is a complex man with a simple idea, defend America.
Fireworks light up the sky as President George W. Bush (news - web sites) smiles during a campaign rally in Yardley, Pennsylvania, October 28, 2004. Bush and his Democratic rival Sen. Oy vey. I'm sure they mean this as a compliment, but yuck. Let's face it: if you've bought into Marxism, you're a believer. And if you've looked at Marxism and thought, "Whoa, that sucks," you're a thinker. So there.
Kerry believes he's a thinker.
Bush is the real thinker here. Whereas Kerry's "thinking" is convoluted, dishonest, self-serving, Bush's thinking is clear, honest, unselfish, always thinking of what is best for our country. Yes, Kerry IS clever, -- like a snake is clever. Kerry does know many things, but they are all the wrong things. To paraphrase a song whose sentiment was highly favored by Kerry's ilk many years ago: KERRY! (grunt grunt grunt) what is he good for? Absolutely nothin'!

Lawgirl and Bommer did this..I love it.
You must be kidding. As they say, "what color is the sky on your planet?".
On the other hand, maybe the K-meister is actually a "thinker". A thinker and not a "doer" - that whole ivory tower no real-world experience kind of thing. Those who vote for Kerry are, it has been shown, clinically brain dead.
A real choice between good and evil. Make the wrong choice and this country will suffer for years to come.
A thinker? Sheesh, I want a 'do-er', especially when it comes to terrorism. The last thing we need is 4 years of committees and sub-committees to study why terrorists don't like us.
Maybe this race is between truth and honor versus lies and dishonor.
Knowing things does not make one a leader.
Judgment and insight do.
For some people, President Bush may not be their first choice and the decision for some isn't to vote for a candidate, but to vote against the other candidate.
But even if someone doesn't like President Bush, the choice is still crystal clear. How can one even compare Kerry (a communist fraud who spat on fellow vterans, backed by dubious people like Soros, flip-flops and lies more frequently than Clinton did) to President Bush who does what he says and sincerely loves our country and respects our military?
Of the Kerry supporters I know, even they scratch their heads when I ask:
1) You love jokes about lawyers because most people hate lawyers. Why on earth do you want to put two of them in the White House?
2) If Kerry were president during 9/11, how long would we have waited and how many more people would have died waiting for the U.N. to fix things?
3) If you vote for Kerry because you like his liberal "plans", how do you expect him to get his way when the Democrats are not in the majority?
4) If Bush's tax cuts were "for the rich", why did I get a cut as well? And how can you tax a country into prosperity?
5) Since Kerry is very wealthy and pays comparitively little in taxes, do you honestly expect him to raise taxes on "the rich" that would also affect his wealth?
6) Would you really want Terezzzzzzzza to be our country's First Lady???? (this at least gets an answer... always gets a resounding "no")
Kerry's a thinker all right.
All he thinks about is - How can I capitalize on this? How can I back out of that?
It's freedom and the battle against terrorism vs socialism and a walk with fear.
Excellent questions!
Bump!
Before pulling the lever***....4) We've all tried to parse Mr. Kerry's indecisive wordiness. But think about his dodgy silence. Bob Woodward has been trying since June to ask Mr. Kerry how he would have fought the Iraq war differently. He even sent his questions to the candidate. "I interviewed President Bush and he answered hundreds of detailed questions," Mr. Woodward told Fox's Bill O'Reilly this week. But not Mr. Kerry. ...***
Thank you! Those were my thoughts exactly!
The more I consider it, the more I believe that Kerry is simply a moron. That he combines being a moron with being a pathological liar who clearly believes his own lies is frightening.
I do wish that the GOP leadership would NOT shy away from calling Kerry a leftist, a liberal, or a socialist. Bush scored points on the 3rd debate when he openly called Kerry liberal. It would have been even more destructive had the President said something like "As proved by his 20 year voting record, and his statements to the press, the Senator's ideas are much closer to socialism than they are to the ideas of the Founding Fathers of our country." That would've been, of course, the absolute truth, and would have given lots of people something to think about.
Could it be the specter of McCarthyism that makes the GOP so reluctant to use that term?
Ain't that the truth. Kerry - I have plans. Bush - I have plans AND I've implemented them.
I think the pubs have really failed to communicate the message that Bush is really a great President. I think we'll still win (caught a bit of cnn and msnbc late and they thought the ev was bushian), but I don't think it needed to be this close.
And on a more personal note - I saw a post from Cincinatus recently - cool! Good to see the man walking about.
Bush and his administration see it.
Bush and the coalition have done great things in the Middle East.
All one has to do is look at a map to see how his strategy is working.
Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Kuwait, Turkey, Libya, Jordan, Qatar, etc .
The PLO, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia are getting a little outnumbered.
Changing some of the chess pieces in this age-old battle could bring people to the table and peace to the region.

The Kerry Doctrine: Kerry's World: Father Knows Best
Thanks, but, uh, the lever's been pulled.
Mrs. U. and I jerked the elephant's trunk so hard and fast yesterday afternoon that the jackass quivered and conceded...
