Here, kitty. Nice kitty...
No! Not a Chinese Warr! Me so Ronery!
One moment you suspect its a very deliberate untruth, and the next you find yourself wondering how such an intelligent man ever became so deluded that he could make this statement and think it was true
Look up: Soviet Union News Media
Lord. Lord. A million tiny razor cuts.
Outstanding!!!!
Sure, of course we believe you. What ever made you think we thought otherwise ?
More like a decapitation...
No specifics to this J'accuse. Pathetic. The Post did a good job on reporting the Swift boat story, and an excellent one on Rathergate. The Post does a good job in separating its editorials from its news pagaes, just the the Wall Street Journal does, and in the case of the Post, its editorials tend to be only somewhat center left. It ain't the New York Times - - at all.
If I recall, this was right after they had been polled and we discovered that 10 of 11 were Kerry supporters. I believe this was when Franken was drunk and in the audience.
They all claimed how hard they worked to be fair and just. It was the biggest joke I have ever seen.
They even mentioned the terrible E-mails they got from uninformed people who just did not understand.
"Requiescat in fracta''
Is this "Rest in Pieces" rather than "Rest in Peace (Requiescat in Pace) "
Rest in Pieces. I like it
If by some chance Kerry is elected, Impeachment proceding should start immediately, then we will have the Breck Girl to slam. Cannon fodder!!??
He is too stupid to avoid a scandal ridden admin and it would be a huge disappointment.
But I hate to pretend.
Can't agree with you there. As Carrington pointed out, The Post completely refused to cover the Swift Vets for more than 2 months. That's pretty specific, and pretty difficult to defend on the merits.
That said, I agree that The Post did a decent job on the 60 Minutes forged documents scandal, and that Dobbs did do very one good article on the Kerry Bay Hap incident. That might raise their overall Swift grade to a "D", but hardly to the level of a "good job."
Yep. Nice touch, that. My favorite Latin motto is still the one from the Addams Family:
Sic Gorgiamus Allos Subjectatos Nunc -- We gladly feast on those who would subdue us
I've always thought that would work pretty well for FR.
LOL
Proud Swift Boat supporter
Wrote it down --- going on my business card. My favorite from my youth was Veni Vidi Bibi
I missed that reference on the first pass. Recently I was interviewed by a WSJ "news" reporter for an article on the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. He flatly misrepresented what I told him, and the article itself was a complete puff piece that failed to ever suggest the possibility that the VVAW's war crimes allegations might have been a tad exaggerated. Although the reporter referred obliquely to the site I manage on the topic, WinterSoldier.com, he was careful not to name it in the article, presumably lest his readers go there and learn the facts he was trying to conceal. It was a dismally poor excuse for journalism, and they ran it, as news, right on the front page.
Yo Tonk!! Thought you might like to see this one...the WAPO's mishandling of the Swifties is described here very well!
