Rush: In Second Term, War on Terror Will Escalate
Rush's Website and Radio Show ^ | 10-28-04 | Rush Limbaugh

-snip-

RUSH: Kerry's going to get us out. Look it, you know, the real question we're going to face -- I don't care who the president is -- this war on terror, folks, and I think... Well, I do care who. That's not the right way to put it, because it does matter who the president is........

But at some point, dealing with these people is going to require taking steps that the American people are going to have to be prepared for, and they're not going to be easy steps. They're going to be brutal. I'm talking about we are going to have to exercise some very, very brutal, take some very, very brutal military steps. We're going to have to maybe use more than just conventional weapons on these people.

You know, it's like trying to wipe out cockroaches with Raid. That's not strong enough. You know, you're not going to call the pest control guy and get rid of them.

They're going to pop up no matter where they are. I mean, they say even cockroaches are the only thing around that would survive a nuclear blast. That's kind of like who these terrorists are. They're all over the place, ..............

and it's going to take massive, massive use of force at some point to deal with this, wherever these people are, and I think a second term for George W. Bush where there is no concern for being reelected and so forth might offer a little bit more flexibility and freedom in dealing with this as it happens. In other words, I think you're going to see -- and I'm just guessing -- what you want to see in Fallujah now you're going to see it a little bit more frequently and more common after the election is over.

maybe Rush is helping the admin send a signal that after we make a statement in the hot zones of Iraq, that Iran and Syria will pull a Libya and own up/put up/shut up.

Savage has about a 10 million audience base.

So he says. I'd like to see some proof, myself.

Many of the Muslim animals only understand violence. Americans must use both the carrot and the stick on the Muslim world, but when we use the stick, we must use the whole stick.

I've been waiting for the gasoline rationing to start. I really would not be surprised if it happened.

It's war, folks, it's war!

I listen to Michael Savage. A lot of his callers are mad, including Savage, that Bush has not level some Iraqi cities by now. Savage has about a 10 million audience base.

Speaking about Savage and his audience (not implying you):

Everybody's a military strategy genius. Everybody thinks he knows the shortcut to quick victory and Miller time. Just blast the joint to Kingdom come.

In places like Fallujah, there are enemies of America, but also innocent people and potential friends of America. They're all packed in there together. What's the sense of vaporizing everybody. We have the technology and precision to do it right. We (back home) just need more patience.

I trust the way W's handling it.

If he was lying, the MSM would pounce on him is a second. He reads (brags) his rating results on air. Again, if he was lying, his enemies would destroy him.

Rush is only stating what most thinking people already know. These jihadis need to be dealt a crushing defeat to the point of near extinction. At least until they get the message that making war against the United states is a very bad idea. While I wouldn't advocate nukes a good old fashion carpet bombing or two might get the point across.

I don't know if he's lying or not. I do know that I can find out TV ratings, movie boxoffice totals, but not radio listenership levels.

I just wonder why it's such a big secret. There's another host who claims to have "the number one program on politics and pop culture".

I realize that this may be tongue in cheek, but I can't help wondering who has the number two program.

I can see Rush's point. I believe these Islamic Militants are like Nazi Facists. We can look back at the German Occupation and figure that a large majority of Germans were not Nazis. In the case of middle east, is this virulant Islamic Facism believed by a majority of the people? I want to believe that there are people over there that are not completely insane. So to absolutely destroy an area with unconventional weapons is dicey in my book. But if most Muslims sympathize with these people, then I am all for systematically destroying cities. I believe Bush is handling things well right now. My only beef with him is having the Marines pull up short when they had Falluja almost taken.
