I'm starting to wonder if we're being set up in a Dem October Surprise... or maybe I'm just way too paranoid.

What about this scenario:

-A lot of people are demanding it be aired.

-ABC makes it appear it doesn't want to.

-It gets aired.

-Then Monday, the guy who made the tape announces that the Republicans put him up to it to scare people into voting for Bush.

-All day Mon and Tues., the MSM is telling everyone Bush fabricated the story in order to be re-elected.

-The day after the election, after the damage has been done, the guy says he was lying and Bush wasn't behind it, but Kerry's elected. The guy, in effect, falls on the sword to get Kerry elected.

... And we've all been had ... Big Time.

I don't think they can pull that off what with the CIA involved. I may be wrong, but too many big wigs involved in this now. They can't ALL be against the President. Surely.

I think I'm way too paranoid, too. And I wish I never said the "H" word because it looks like it's caught fire now that we've actually seen (parts of) the tape on FNC.

I'd hate for this to not be taken seriously just because the video doesn't look like we think it's supposed to. Who are we to know what the heck a terrorism tape is SUPPOSED to look like? Especially when the jihadi speaks English? As smogger said on the other thread, if ISI (Pakistani spy agency) and Al Jazeera and yes, even terrorism expert Evan Kohlmann say it's legit - well, they know more than me.
