TERROR TAPE WARN OF BUSH, CHENEY CONSEQUENCE; ABC WITHHELD PORTIONS FROM CIA

ABCNEWS withheld portions of an alarming new al Qaeda videotape which warns the next terror attack will dwarf 9/11 from the CIA when they submitted the video for analysis, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
The CIA and FBI late Wednesday authenticated the tape, federal sources tell DRUDGE. ABCNEWS has been informed of the government's standing.
"What took place on September 11 was but the opening salvo of the global war on America and that our Lord willing, the magnitude and ferocity of what is coming your way will make you forget all about September 11," the man, whose face is covered by a headdress, warns in the video. "After decades of American tyranny, now it's your turn to die."
ABCNEWS submitted portions of the video threat to the FBI and CIA on Monday for analysis, top government sources tell DRUDGE, after obtaining the tape from a source in Pakistan.
A top goverment source said from Washington that ABC withheld the final 15 minutes of the tape from the CIA -- the portion of the tape where the man warns of retribution for Americans electing Bush and Cheney.

"You are guilty, guilty, guilty. You're as guilty as Bush and Cheney. You're as guilty as Rumsfeld and Ashcroft and Powell...," the man states.
He goes on to warn of an upcoming horror: "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead.
"People of America, that was the verdict now for the sentencing: as participants and partners in the crimes of the regime, you too shall pay the price for the blood that has been spilled."
One ABC source, who demanded anonymity, said Thursday morning, the network was struggling to find a correct journalistic "balance" before airing any story on the video.
"This is not something you just throw out there while people are voting," the ABC source explained.

I think ABC is trying to find excuses as to why the tape isn't real.
People who spend a lot of time in other countries unconsciously alter their accent. I think ABC is grasping at anything to make the tape look fake.
Hard to say... Technically, we're not at war, since no declaration of war has been passed by congress since WWII, so I don't think that the treason portion of the Constitution could be invoked.
On the other hand, if there were any sort of an attack, and it's proven that ABC held anything back, they would certainly be open to all sorts of civil suits, which would completely destroy the network financially... And of course, the share-holders could sue the board of directors.
But I honestly don't know if this sort of thing would really be "illegal."

On the other hand if AQ or allies made such a tape surely they want it publicized. Then why was it not given to Al Jazira?
If ABC were so nuts to hold something back, I would hope that there would be at least one person who would have the integrity to do the right thing, and leak the news.
If there's a threat against the US if President Bush is reelected, and ABC were to hold that back, there would be no doubt that it would have been done for partison politcal purposes, i.e. helping to get Kerry elected.
I'm hoping that if ABC really did that, that there would be at least one person at ABC with a concience, putting the USA (and the lives of the citizens) before the DNC.

Actually, that's not true. Although we haven't been "at war" since 1945, there have been elections while we've been fighting.
Had Roosevelt lost an election before he died, he would have been replaced. Same with Lincoln, and any other president we've had.

Someone else posted that it came to ABC via satellite. And the CIA would automatically have a copy, and they were probably waiting for ABC to come clean about the remaining 15 minutes. I guess ABC thought better of it, and fessed up.

I pray to God that you are correct. But I do not trust the MSM, the leftist lawyers that do their bidding or the Clinton appointed judges that will give them cover. It is a tremendous up hill battle.

Well, Rosevelt and Truman are a little before my time, but I do remember now about Nixon and the Viet Nam war. But it is really insane to remove a President during war time. I just can't believe they would do that.

no, there's no such law that Bush gets to stay President if they hit us between now and January. That isn't true. Not if he loses this election. A new President is sworn in if that person wins, war or terror attack or whatever. I know you repeated this statement in your reply to me, and you sound so sure of it. Believe me, it's not so. Ask someone else if you don't take my word for it.
