TERROR TAPE WARN OF BUSH, CHENEY CONSEQUENCE; ABC WITHHELD PORTIONS FROM CIA

ABCNEWS withheld portions of an alarming new al Qaeda videotape which warns the next terror attack will dwarf 9/11 from the CIA when they submitted the video for analysis, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.

The CIA and FBI late Wednesday authenticated the tape, federal sources tell DRUDGE. ABCNEWS has been informed of the government's standing.

"What took place on September 11 was but the opening salvo of the global war on America and that our Lord willing, the magnitude and ferocity of what is coming your way will make you forget all about September 11," the man, whose face is covered by a headdress, warns in the video. "After decades of American tyranny, now it's your turn to die."

ABCNEWS submitted portions of the video threat to the FBI and CIA on Monday for analysis, top government sources tell DRUDGE, after obtaining the tape from a source in Pakistan.

A top goverment source said from Washington that ABC withheld the final 15 minutes of the tape from the CIA -- the portion of the tape where the man warns of retribution for Americans electing Bush and Cheney.

"You are guilty, guilty, guilty.  You're as guilty as Bush and Cheney.  You're as guilty as Rumsfeld and Ashcroft and Powell...," the man states.

He goes on to warn of an upcoming horror: "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead.

"People of America, that was the verdict now for the sentencing: as participants and partners in the crimes of the regime, you too shall pay the price for the blood that has been spilled."

One ABC source, who demanded anonymity, said Thursday morning, the network was struggling to find a correct journalistic "balance" before airing any story on the video.

"This is not something you just throw out there while people are voting," the ABC source explained.

I have not read this whole thread so I apologize in advance if someone has said this already.

Two things that strike me about this. First, ABC is once again proving that they are trying to influence the outcome of this election by "withholding" part of this videotape from our own CIA. The consequences of which could be two-fold. One, if most people are aware of the bit about Bush/Cheney, this will have the opposite effect that they desire,ie; it would help the incumbent. Two, they could be endangering American lives by not supplying the CIA with all that they know for their own preference for who will win the White House.

Second, the speakers states that "After decades of American tyranny, now it's your turn to die." This would seem to prove the point that it is America and our way of life in general that they hate, not just the fact that Bush is President and started a war. This particular war has raged for many years against us. 9/11 had been in the planning for years, long before Bush was president and many evil deeds took place while Clinton was president.

To any thinking person with a modicum of intellectual reasoning, it is obvious that they want Kerry to be President for a reason. Anything that will weaken us. Does any pansy-@$$ liberal actually believe that they want Kerry to be President because he will bring peace to the world? (rhetorical).

The masked idiot refers to “decades of tyranny.” This would include the Clinton and Carter years too! If anyone thinks not reelecting Bush will make a difference they are dumber than I thought. The FBI is the ONLY Fed agency that has our nation's real security at heart, that's why they are involved in so many operations overseas - in an environment that used to be the sole property of the CIA. TURF WAR, and the CIA isn't on our side.

That's not what happened. They didn't tell the CIA or FBI anything. ABC provided them an edited copy of the tape, and ABC edited it for political reasons so as not to influence the election.

As I've pointed out in a number of responses, a federal felony has been committed, and I suggest ABC's lawyers check the relevent provisions of the PATRIOT Act.

ABC did not want you to know they had the tape until they released it. They have never tried to authenticate a tape before. They have released every Video they ever got almost immediately. The 'authentication story' is pure bullcrap. They were going to release it the morning after the 60Minutes story aired the night before.

I'm a mother of three, guess you could call me a security mom. I would vote for Bush anyway, but whenever anything dealing with terrorism comes up, my first thought is of my kids.

I think what happened in Beslan was a 'reality clincher' to moms as to the lengths terrorists will go to. Any parent, no matter the nationality can relate to the overwhelming loss those families experienced.

Mother's don't want apathy! Islamofascism is like cancer. You may know you have it, but it doesn't realy hurt, or affect your health so much, at first, so you ignore it. It grows silently, until it's reached the liver, the lungs, or the brain, a part which can not be removed and is essential to survival. By that time, it's too late. The pain is immense, and the outcome is sealed.

Okay enough analogies! I really believe that Mom's won't stand for complacence. I think most understand that this is a threat that won't go away even if Kerry is elected. It may grow silently for awhile, but then it will be worse, and likely, it will be here. I also think that not just as a mom, but as an American, ain't no terrorist gonna tell me what the heck to do. That would be surrender! I'm not raising my kids under Islamofascist rule! I won't take one step down that road. A vote for Kerry because of this threat would be just that.

I am glad this story is breaking now, and not on the eve of election. There are those who may have a fearful knee-jerk reaction. However, even if that was one's initial reaction, given a few days to think it over, I imagine the American resolve would surface.
