Ok for those who believe this is a democrat trick to help elect kerry please answer one major question for me....
What democratic operative would have enough of a set to pass the tape to abc in warzeristan (Sp?)?

"...my God,....they withheld a terror tape from the government, and from the people because of the election. They are jeopardizing American lives, if an attack occurs having any link to this tape...innocent citizens' blood is on their filthy hands."

I hope you're right...I've been thinking about this one for a while. Americans would rally around W AFTER an attack...but on a warning? These "Security Moms" make me nervous.
Anybody else?

"forgot MSNBC as a separate unit.....THEY DESERVE A CHECK MARK AFTER O'DONNELL yelled at John O'Neill."
Check mark for CNN being a stooge for Saddam in order to remain in Iraq.

Not airing it is one thing. Withholding it from the people in charge of national security is a whole different ballgame. Now, no matter who wins the election, ABC bears liability, since they took it upon to make a national security decision.Very good. Now for extra credit, examine the relevent provisions of the PATRIOT Act.

Obviously, there are some people at ABC who don't swallow the party line and see the withholding of such information as harmful to our country. Every large organization has its share of whistleblowers. Drudge is the recipient of this inside information. Exactly. Another Bernard Goldberg, perhaps.

ABC strongly denies the charge. With a non-denial denial? Oh, this should be good...

If ABC edited out the end of that tape they are guilty of withholding evidence from the FBI. It is also possible the tape they received in Pakistan was edited or inadvertently incomplete and the CIA got the tape independently from another source (it apparently has been shopped around to several media outlets). Additionally, it is possible Drudge got it dead wrong, he occasionally does that. I dislike the mainstream press intensely, but I am not ready to convict ABC of withholding evidence based on what I have seen here. When the FBI investigates ABC and finds they maliciously edited the end off that tape, then I will be ready to see them shut down.

AQ said they were going to try to influence the U.S. election. IMHO, putting out the message "Vote for Bush and we will kill you" would certainly qualify as attempting to influence the upcoming election.
Hmmmm..., but witholding this information would be an attempt to influence the upcoming election.
I am so confused...

Without any tinfoil, I wonder if ABC held on to it to LOOK like they were trying not to affect the election, then let the story come out?
To: Nathan Zachary
Folks! It is not complicated. A genuine tape was delivered via a courier to press in Pakistan. It was relayed via satellite link to ABC News. Government already had a tape of the transmission because they monitor satellite transmissions and thus know about the missing 15 minutes. Drudge knows because the government is pissed at ABC and want the edit and the contents of the threat in the public on the eve of the election. This will hurt Kerry big time, as Cheney might say. Enjoy it. I tis not some convoluted MSM scheme. Advantage Bush.

I dunno, Lizarde. My liver is close to hollerin' "uncle".
Kinda wish I could hang out on a desert isle until time to vote, then zoom back till my kind freeper friends tell me that it is over, and somehow the country has come to it's collective senses.
Dream on, right?

I'm really starting to wonder where this country is going to be in 20 years. The MSM has been the greatest factor in dividing the political opinions of this nation. The MSM will be nonexistent in 20 years.
