FROM A SOURCE CLOSE TO THE CAMPAIGN [10/28 02:07 PM]

Just heard from a source close to the campaign, tuned in to the conversations at the highest levels.

According to the Bushies, the last few days have seen a huge burst of momentum in their numbers.

They think Bush is ahead by a few points nationally. They expect the next round of tracking polls to show a bit of a bump.

The internal polls show a significant lead in Florida (outside margin of error) and Arkansas is out of play, with a Bill Clinton visit or without. As for most of the other big ones - Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, internal polls show all too close to call.

Michigan is seriously looking like a pickup - Bush and Cheney could be there four times in the last four days.

An exit poll of those who have already voted show Bush ahead by 15 points!

Undecided voters appear to be breaking Bush’s way - some days he has a slight lead, other days it’s right around 50-50. (Note this would be considerably better than the 1/3 calculated that Bush needs here.

Finally, the ammo dump story appears to have left the Kerry campaign deep in al-Qaqaa.

Tommy Franks is going to enter this story and rip Kerry and the New York Times a new one. The Kerry folks are acting like they realized they have botched this story, and want to shift back to domestic topics. Lockhart, Bill Richardson on Imus — when asked about al-QaQaa, they dodge the question and quickly try to bring up other issues.

The campaign is going to avoid the Russian angle and go with the straightforward, “As the facts mount in this story, American people have a choice between believing Kerry-NYTimes-CBS or believing Bush and the Troops.”

This source close to the campaign didn’t say it, but I wonder if the Bush administration wants to deal with Russia in its own manner, and not have whatever diplomatic confrontations are going on behind the scenes complicated by a furious American electorate blaming Russia for hiding Iraq’s weapons and explosives.

"What is best in life?" To crush the jihadists and liberals, to drive their collaborators before you, and to hear the lamentations of their media!

According to the Bushies...

Isn't that a term usually used by people who hate George W. Bush?

Edwards told us, if we really want to know Yaaawn, just spend a couple minutes with the men who served with him in Vietnam. They have spent the last 120 days making sure the American People don’t hear from those very men who overwhelmingly despise him. Just as he lied about the atrocities of our honorable Vietnam Vets 30 years ago, he accepts the word of the corrupt United Nations to denigrate today’s Brave Soldiers. Simply because he lied about his heroics to hide the fact that he was a coward, he attacks those who actually fight in the face of death. This is a cowardice and psychosis that defies words.

Months ago, we found that he lied about his trip into Cambodia on Christmas eve that was “seared, seared” into his memory. We found beyond a shadow of doubt that he was never in Cambodia and violating International Law under Nixon’s orders like he said he was. These were lies that he manufactured to damage the Military and bring down a Presidency. He was lauded in the public and he convinced me at the time that he was speaking the truth. Why should anyone question a decorated officer who was actually there? He was lying.

This is a different world and we don’t automatically believe the words of the Old York Times or DNCBS. Our antennas automatically go up to test their fables. The only person in this Country who automatically believed those words as Gospel was Yaaawn Cut & Ran Kerry. His first last and foremost reflex is to go attack the Military. He blames the troops of not guarding the missing explosives as if this is some war crime. Not only does he trash them in his speeches in the most disgraceful accusations, he makes a commercial attacking them. Only one explosive problem.

Just as he has attacked our troops with the, “wrong war, wrong time, wrong place,” and calling our allies who have paid the ultimate sacrifice the, “coerced and bribed” he denigrates our troops on the ground. Just as he called Allawi an American Puppet to make this war illegal, he shames our Troops as he did our Vietnam Vets. Now he calls this a growing scandal, yes it is and he is sitting right on top of the burning dynamite. If this attack machine weren’t running for President he would be run out of town, and tarred and feathered.

Now we find that the weapons not only weren’t there when we arrived, but the Russians most likely took them to Syria with the WMD’s. WMD’s, the lies of the CIA and George W Bush??? Yes, the Russians took these explosives with much of Saddamn’s most powerful weaponry to Syria and other countries and that is where the WMDs are.

So, not only could our troops do absolutely nothing about these explosives because they were already gone, but we have found the WMD’s that Mike Mooreon and the rest of the Stone-age press has been razing the President for. We found no WMD’s because Putin had taken them across the border to save his own hide and hurt our President. Paging Mr Putin!!

These facts need to come out, but the largest fact exposed is Yaawn does not have the character or stature to be President of The United States. To be in charge of the Military, the minimum requirement is to respect the Military and the sacrifices and protection they provide us. The absolute minimum that should be required is to realize that the 750+ Soldiers who died in action in Iraq, did it to provide him the Freedom to run for the highest office in the world. The least that he could do for them is to respect them for doing things he never could. His latest attack commercial disqualifies him for the office of Commander in Chief.

Pray for W and Our Election

Good. Sounds like what I thought they should say, as I posted last night.

My opponent has been indicating throughout this campaign that he would be a President who governs by what the NY Times and CBS report. He holds up newspapers, and makes wild accusations for political gain, despite not knowing the facts and despite knowing that his words would have a negative impact on some of our troops - the few who might have given him their support. I once again call on Democrats and Republicans alike to vote for me on Nov. 2 - the stakes are too high and this country cannot afford to make a mistake.

Regarding Ohio, here's a link to the very astute and active resident Freeper expert on that state, IMHO, the inimitable Common Tator. Take a read through his posts: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/user-posts?id=7722

Don't think so, remember during the convention, when the Bush twins said that's what George and Laura affectionately refer to each other as?

Just like the UN "Food for Oil" scandal, George W. knows a lot more than what he says.

It's a pretty good guess that W. knows that most of Iraq's WMD's landed in Syria. I'm sure that we've put Syria on diplomatic notice that they shouldn't be touched or passed around.

On the U.N. scandal, we knew why France and Germany would never support us, but what profit was there in exposing them. It just gives the U.S. another card to play later and keeps these relationships from getting worse.

the bad news buried in that story is the situation in Ohio - I hoped we would be up here.

I can tell you from first-hand experience that it is not for lack of trying on the part of the Bush campaign.

It could, however, be lack of skill or something. I think Kerry's commercials are harder-hitting. The Bush attack ads are pretty weak in comparison. Bush does have an advantage on the warm and fuzzy ads, though.

Regarding the ground game, I am starting to feel very overmatched. It's not that I see so many Kerry people out there, but it's actually getting harder to get people in to campaign HQ on our side, it seems. It also seems tougher to get people out to events, football games, lit drops, etc.

I think Ohio has become Kerry's Last Stand. The number of out-of-state license plates on cars parked near his HQ have increased. The fraud they are attempting here is astounding.

Think of it this way. A week ago Florida was tied. Bush spent Saturday there attending three rallies. That was enough to move the state in Bush's direction. By doing the same thing in Ohio this weekend could easily turn the tide in time for the election.

I hate to be doom and gloom, but why does electoral-vote.com have Kerry ahead 260 to Bush 254? that sure doesnt look good for our side. Hope they are wrong!

This is not the time to be thinking about "good news".

The Bush campaign and every supporter should be working like we're 10 points behind.
