That reminds me of a story...when I was growing up, we** usedta drive every summer from Ol' Virginny to Kansas to visit all our relatives fer a coupla weeks. Well, this one year we were in our station wagon driving thru the West Virginia mountains on our way to Kansas when a deer jumps out in front of our car and we nail it, knocking it back into the ditch on the side of the road. Well, this obviously distressed all us kids so my dad turned around and went back to see if the deer was alright. Unfortunately, it was dead...so we decided to do the Right thing and put the carcass up on top of the station wagon and drove it to the Ranger's station to drop it off.
Well, when we got there, and my dad explained exactly what had happened, the Park Ranger promptly wrote out and ticket fer my ol' man and wouldn't let him leave until he had paid a $50 fine fer killing the deer!! My dad was obviously nonplussed about the situation and threatened to leave and the Park Ranger said he'd lock him up if he did.
SHEEEESH...talk about no good deed going unpunished...LOL!!
