The Drudge scoop today is about alleged American al Qaeda Adam Gadahn. Here are some handy background links:
-The FBI bulletin
-Gadahn's Muslim manifesto posted on a USC website
-Debbie Schlussel's report on Gadahn's radical imam
-More on the Islamic Society of Orange County at Little Green Footballs
-Blogger Jon at Right Side Redux did some poking around into Gadahn's past work for a little e-zine called Xenocide here
-Robert Spencer reports on The New Face of al Qaeda
-And before the anti-profiling absolutists start using Gadahn as their new poster boy, note that the FBI says he was just one member of a Khalid Sheikh Mohammed-hatched plot to blow up gas stations in the Baltimore area. The lead conspirator in the plot was Pakistani Majid Khan --a relative of convicted Pakistani al Qaeda operative Iyman Faris--who was sentenced last fall for his role in plotting to sabotage the Brooklyn bridge
Ho-hum. If he ain't bulletproof, I ain't skeered.
DETAILS Adam Yahiye Gadahn is being sought in connection with possible terrorist threats against the United States. Although the FBI has no information indicating this individual is connected to any specific terrorist activities, the FBI would like to locate and question this person.
IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION CONCERNING THIS PERSON, PLEASE CONTACT THE LOCAL FBI OFFICE OR THE NEAREST AMERICAN EMBASSY OR CONSULATE. |

Could have been about anyone, I though it was pretty much stuff found on the internet.
Apparently this Islamo POS spent a lot of time on the internet.
Omar is a muslim name. Though in some cases Hispanic (owing to the one-time Islamic presence in Spain). Is the brother also a Muslim?
Welcome to Free Republic.
coincidence?

coincidence?
I don't know. Siddiqi might be a common name in Pakistan.
However, I've run across a more striking convergence:
The American who was named as one of seven Al Qaeda monsters sought by the FBI is a convert to Islam who attended the Islamic Society of Orange County -- and was taught Islam by Muzammil Siddiqi: American Terror Suspect Had 1997 Arrest.
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - Adam Yahiye Gadahn was 17 years old when he walked into the Islamic Society of Orange County and asked for permission to worship there. The farm kid who grew up in a home with Christian roots declared himself a Muslim, ready to immerse himself in his new religion.
But his devotion eventually spiraled into trouble -- and an arrest.
Gadahn, who was named Wednesday as one of seven suspected al-Qaida operatives sought by the FBI, was later expelled from the mosque after attacking an employee. Records show he pleaded guilty to assault and battery charges in June 1997 and was sentenced to two days in jail and 40 hours of community service. ...
"He was becoming very extreme in his ideas and views," said Muzammil Siddiqi, the society's religious director. "He must have disliked something"
Once again, the wire services quote an "Islamic leader" with absolutely no context whatsoever. Muzammil Siddiqi is a radical Wahhabist, who is on record threatening the United States and supporting terrorist groups. If you're searching for the cause of Adam Yahiye Gadahn's alleged conversion to an Al Qaeda operative, a good place to start would be with Siddiqi.
(Excerpt) American Muslim: Taught by Siddiqi
Now look at this:
Issa Ziadeh, 43, had a similar view of Hadayet. The men shared heritages -- both were Egyptian-born Muslims -- and had similar jobs. Ziadeh is an airport shuttle driver.
He said he last saw Hadayet during evening prayers July 3 at a Garden Grove mosque, when Ziadeh accidentally turned off a small lamp Hadayet was using to read the Koran.
...
Early in the morning of July 4, Hadayet called his family in Egypt to mark his birthday. Wearing his limousine driver suit one last time, Hadayet armed himself with a knife, two guns and extra ammunition, and made his way to the Los Angeles airport.
So both Adam (Pearlman) Gadhan, the latest American Al Qaeda, and Hesham Hadayet, the Egyptian-born LAX Shooter, worshipped at a mosque in Garden Grove, California. Here is a listing of Muslim facilities in Orange County:

Both of those Islamic Society facilities in Garden Grove share the same address, so they are obviously linked. I found another Garden Grove address (along with the first) for the Islamic Society over here.

I have not been able to find a phone listing for the Weldon Drive address of the Islamic Society, and when I called the West 13th Street address, they had not heard of the Weldon drive facility, even though Mapquest shows them less than two and a half miles from each other.
However, the gentleman that I spoke to on the phone told me that there was only one mosque in Garden Grove, on West 13th Street.
Therefore I submit to you that both Adam (Pearlman) Gadhan, the latest American Al Qaeda, and Mohammed Hesham Hadayet, the El Al shooter at LAX in 2002, both worshipped at one time or another at the Islamic Society mosque in Garden Grove California, which is operated by Dr. Muzamil Siddiqi.
Nice find... no doubt the MSM has no idea about this. I am certain FBI does... remember reading about them investigating the Garden Grove mosque.
I cringed when I read he was homeschooled.
Thanks. Do you have a source for this? I've never seen that report.
Looks like one of those slackers Michael Moore is always going for.
I've yet to see anything indicating the FBI investigated the Garden Grove mosque in relation to the LAX shooting.
Google search... FBI "garden grove" hadayet OR hedayet
Two results, consisting of unrelated excerpts.
Have you sent the information TO them? I would. It's highly relevant and if they haven't connected the dots like you did here, they should and need to know about it.
Never fear. My home-schooled son is in Iraq right now fighting these terrorists. You want to start a thread of "Home-schooled kids in Iraq?"
