ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE

In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

It's a supposed Al Quaeda operative warning of an attack.
Maybe it was Fed-Ex'ed to ABC from a Kinko's in Abilene, Texas.
ABC is probably not so much concerned about whether the video is authentic, but whether it will help or hurt Bush. That's probably what the debate is about.
I was right, it was controversial because it hurts Kerry (I follow the simple formula, never trust a rat)- from the video:

If it's a terrorist tape, I would not be surprised. I had a waking nightmare about attacks ON ELECTION DAY. And if Bush doesn't tell us, he "knew and withheld info." And if Bush DOES tell us, then he's just "playing on our fears." (And shame on Kerry for saying we need "a more nuanced alert system." As I understand it, the color-coded system is SHORTHAND for the many law enforcement agencies, etc. - rather than say "do items a, b, c, d, . . . m, n, o but not p thru z," the government just says "level orange" and all the experts know what it means because the levels have been defined beforehand. Kerry, that nincompoop, should know that. If Bush had made such a "mistake," the press would have been all over him. But Kerry will do anything - lie, cheat and steal (literally!) - to win.
There's always the risk thart a politician will use foreign militayr action to "wag the dog" and deflect attention from other concerns. (Remember the Monica missles?) This is why CHARACTER MATTERS!!! Clinton was a proven liar and felon when he did what he did.
In my gut, I believe that Bush & co would respond inm the manner most appropriate to any threat or attack, even if it was likely to cost him the election. I think enough other people believe it as well, which is why Bush will win.
I'm on another rant. But you get the point.

well, now that we know the tape does not show OBL - I retract my first comment, it will not hurt Bush.
If an attack does happen, watch for the link to the "missing explosives".
