WashPost Tracking: Kerry: 50% Bush: 48%
Not good.
Urgh, these weekend samples kill me. I hope it changes in the next one.
Kerry's excellent Saturday result drops off tomorrow.
You evidently don't know how to track a tracking poll.
Give it one more day...Have Faith...
has Kerry always received a bump on weekends?
Unngghhh!
I'm not buying that one
They just haven't learned WHEN TO SAY WHEN. Mega Bump: http://kmclive.com.
Before everyone freaks out here, this average still includes BOTH Saturday and Sunday numbers. AND the Post themselves said that these were 2 of Kerry's 3 best single day polling numbers since they started. So it appears that they may have had 2 bad sample days instead of Rasmussen's one bad day, we shall see if the trend is there later in the week I guess.
Oops, day after tomorrow. This poll is a four day tracking poll.
Good point.
But I'm also concerned the media will play up this explosives story to take a point or two from Bush, which is all Kerry needs.
WaPo runs a day behind Rasmussen, who runs a couple of days behind everyone else. Kerry did great in Saturday polling. It'll scroll off tomorrow.
How accurate has WP been in the past?
Keep the faith. All these polls will be proven to be lies in one week!
WAPO polling is not the standard bearer for polling. I wouldn't place much faith on these numbers if I were a DEM. They don't reflect anything near what the standard bearers of election polling show at this time.
What else would you expect from this group. They are trying to make this a horse race. They sell more papers and have higher ratings if this is the case. I'd like to see the internals before I get too worried about it.
This result is completely expected.
Kerry had a spike on Saturday, and a spike on Sunday.
The Saturday spike drops off tomorrow. The Sunday spike drops off on Thursday.
Bush will regain the lead in this poll on Thursday. Its inevitable.
Bush polls badly on Saturdays, and worse on Sundays. It has been proven over, and over again.
