The Kerry camp is misrepresenting the truth about the missing explosives in Iraq and has released a new video full of more LIES and HYPOCRISY:

REALITY CHECK 10/26/2004 evening:
Tonight, NBCNEWS reported: The 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives were already missing back in April 10, 2003 -- when U.S. troops arrived at the installation south of Baghdad! An NBCNEWS crew embedded with troops moved in to secure the Al-Qaqaa weapons facility on April 10, 2003, one day after the liberation of Iraq. According to NBCNEWS, the HMX and RDX explosives were already missing when the American troops arrived.
"The U.S. Army was at the site one day after the liberation and the weapons were already gone," a top official commented from Washington late Monday. The International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors last saw the explosives in January 2003 when they took an inventory and placed fresh seals on the bunkers.
Dem vp hopeful John Edwards blasted Bush for not securing the explosives: "It is reckless and irresponsible to fail to protect and safeguard one of the largest weapons sites in the country. And by either ignoring these mistakes or being clueless about them, George Bush has failed. He has failed as our commander in chief; he has failed as president."
A senior Bush official e-mailed DRUDGE late Monday: "Let me get this straight, are Mr. Kerry and Mr. Edwards now saying we did not go into Iraq soon enough? We should have invaded and liberated Iraq sooner?"
Top Kerry adviser Joe Lockhart fired back Monday night: "In a shameless attempt to cover up its failure to secure 380 tons of highly explosive material in Iraq, the White House is desperately flailing in an effort to escape blame. Instead of distorting John Kerry’s words, the Bush campaign is now falsely and deliberately twisting the reports of journalists. It is the latest pathetic excuse from an administration that never admits a mistake, no matter how disastrous."
Why is the U.N. nuclear agency suddenly warning now that insurgents in Iraq may have obtained nearly 400 tons of missing explosives -- in early 2003? NBCNEWS Jim Miklaszewski quoted one official: "Recent disagreements between the administration and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency makes this announcement appear highly political."
Aye Ezfindit, thats exactly what we should do, find list of advertisers of each and every Major Media network..Post it, and inundate them with our thoughts about this Trickery and Un American act if they are going to support these outlets through their advertising dollars..We'll take our money to other companies...EXCEPT French companies..

Someone like Powell or Tommy Franks needs to make a public statement correcting this lie and then demand an apology from Kerry to the American people, the soldiers that he has slandered, and President Bush. No apology will be forthcoming, but the point will be made.

And plotted this whole thing, so when it was discovered it was a phoney story Kerry would have egg on his face. lose points and therefore lose the election. The RNC needs to sue the DNC and force them to retract and apologize for this video that Skerry just made. This is an outright lie and needs to be told to the American people. Maybe MSM might air the apology......not

Just what did CampKerry know about the NY-Slimes expose, and more important, when did they know it? Seems too soon to me for CampKerry to have an attack ad out based on the Slimes work...
If he had any sense at all he'd back off, shut his mouth, and see if the story has any merit. Of course, he's too much of an ideological fanatic for that; he'll be sure to dig himself in an even deeper hole while pretending to do otherwise.
This is even better than fabricated military documents. The fanatics in the MSM don't appear to be able to be the least bit objective about anything.

This commercial will probably run in those Battleground states where Kerry is concentrating his campaign. If the commercial has any positive for Kerry at all, it will be at the extremes of his base, who are already energized anyway. For most people the ad will be negative and viewed as a cheap shot.
At this point Kerry has invested a lot in the explosives issue. What may be happening is that his campaign is proceeding full steam ahead on this in the hope they can get away with it through pure brazenness. They hope the media can spin enough to keep some doubt about the issue open until the election.
After that time, it won't matter.
