I love Nancy Grace's description of the Defense Expert "melting down" on the stand. she goes into this all his hair gel was running down his face, his hair fell forward, he was sweating and begging for them to "cut him some slack". Embarassing to say the least.

For one thing, I doubt they could raise another Million and you can bet Geragos won't be sticking around for a re-trial if it becomes necessary.

Oh, Arthalion, I must disagree with you about the defense. While I detest Geragos, the fact is obvious that he has worked very hard for these past months. He was always prepared for cross-examination, and managed to score some points. He did a proper, workmanlike job on the case. And for the purposes of appeals or collateral attacks, it is not demanded of the defense lawyer that he provide a perfect defense. I honestly think that the defense will withstand any allegations of ineffective assistance of counsel. Besides, the Supreme Court has set a very high bar for winning on that issue. In order to win on that issue, Scott would have to show not only that his counsel provided ineffective assistance, but that if it were not for the ineffective assistance, Scott would have been acquitted.

I understand Jackie P. went through some ridiculous gyrations on the witness stand, explaining how she "misplaced" $10,000, took it from the wrong account or something, and... that's why Scott was carrying $15,000 in cash when they caught him.

No jurors I've ever heard of were inclined to shed tears for some lady who has so many bank accounts that she gets them all mixed up...
