Outrageous, insidious anti-Bush bias at "fun feature" at Village.com

Posted on 10/24/2004 1:19:34 PM PDT by dascallie

First, read what the "stars" say about Bush, according to the pre-emiment women's website, Village.com

Bush:

Former Texas Governor and President for the new millennium George W. Bush followed in his father's footsteps with his 2000 bid for the United States presidency -- and he now seeks to solidify his family's political dynasty via re-election in 2004. Dubya's known for his malapropisms and his hawkish international policy; what do the stars have to say about the leader of the free world?

Birth Details: July 6, 1946 7:26 AM New Haven, Connecticut Bush was born under a Cancer Sun. Cancer is the sign of home, which can refer to one's immediate house and family or, in a wider sense, to one's homeland as a whole. In Bush's case, of course, family and country are inextricably intertwined. Familial respect and connections are generally of very high importance to Cancers (often regardless of whether those familial connections are positive or troublesome). This may help explain Bush's urge to follow in his father's footsteps and succeed in the same arena. And those born under Cancer's watery influence tend to be emotional, moody and sensitive; George W. may feel a lifelong need to prove something to his father and to the world at large.

With his Moon in Libra, the sign of balance, Bush struggles with issues of balance in thought and deed. He may often equivocate, relying on others to provide his agenda, and his subsequent actions can seem rash and less than fully thought out. And Bush's reputation as a lover of the good times is no coincidence; Libra is a social sign, which combined with a Cancer Sun makes for a hospitable, personable good old boy who wants everyone to feel at home -- and wants home to be a party.

Bush's Mercury in Leo marks him as an authoritarian and a dramatic talker who may verge on opinionated arrogance. He believes his views (once he establishes them) are the only views anyone could possibly sensibly hold; he may appear to indulge dissenting opinions in his characteristically affable manner, but it's questionable whether he'll absorb anything from them.

Dubya's Mercury also conjuncts Pluto, the planet of power and destruction. Couple that with his Sun square Jupiter, and you have a man who possesses the potential to mesmerize the masses with his message, but who may be following a blind faith, preaching about something that isn't fully real or practical.

What the Sun-Jupiter square takes away in practicality, however, is replaced by his Mars in Virgo, the placement in his chart that really gives Bush his edge. His ambitions are quite focused, directed toward a specific goal. He is concerned with efficiency and has an eye for detail -- which he can sometimes get caught up in, then failing to grasp the reality of a situation as a whole.

All the planets in Bush's chart fall on its eastern side: This points to a resistance to influence from outside factors. Bush will pursue the goals he thinks are worthy of pursuit, regardless of what anyone may advise him to do, and regardless of whether it's in his own or others' best interest.

NOW--read what these experts say about Kerry!!!

Kerry:

War hero, lawyer and all-around overachiever John Kerry blasted past a crowded field of qualified contenders -- including Time and Newsweek's anointed frontrunner, Howard Dean -- to become the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party's 2004 presidential nomination. Now the tall, patrician-looking senator from Massachusetts faces an even tougher challenge: going head-to-head in a two-way race against the affable Republican commander-in-chief, Texan George W. Bush. Sure, he looks presidential. But what do the stars have to say about this lifelong politician and underdog challenger for the top job in the nation?

Birth Details: December 11, 1943 8:03 AM Denver, Colorado Kerry's Sun and ascendant are in Sagittarius -- a promising sign for a man who hopes to be leader of the world's only remaining superpower. Sagittarius is the sign of leadership, optimism and a strong moral sensibility; for those, like Kerry, with this 'Sagittarius signature,' these qualities are heightened dramatically. Kerry's desire to lead first manifested itself when he was just a teen; at 19, he volunteered for Teddy Kennedy's campaign, and the three-time senator has aspired to be president ever since.

The sign of the Archer also indicates a strong desire, even a need, to travel, explore new horizons and seek out freedom and new experiences. Never one to shy away from their responsibilities, Sagittarians like Kerry embrace their role as leaders and create an example for others to follow. This could help explain why when others (notably President Bush) were doing everything they could to keep as far away from the conflict in Vietnam as possible, Kerry volunteered for the Navy as soon as he graduated from Yale with a political science degree in hand. Kerry, who eventually earned several medals for his service in Vietnam, was rapidly promoted to lieutenant.

But the strong moral sensibilities of Kerry's Sagittarius signature were never far below the surface. Within months of his return to the United States, he joined Vietnam Veterans against the War, where he again took a leadership role, testifying before the Senate against the war in 1970. He even 'returned' his medals to the Capitol at a 1970 protest -- an unsurprising show of moral force for a man whose Mars conjuncts Uranus, the mark of a forceful, dramatic personality.

With his Mercury in Capricorn, Kerry is a solid, serious thinker. He'll never set the world on fire with his rhetoric, but he isn't prone to embarrassing faux pas like other less focused politicians. Kerry's Neptune -- which conjuncts his midheaven -- gives him a kind of Teflon quality; he'll never veer too far off his stump speech or stray from script. Generally, this discipline (heightened by Kerry's Mercury, which is in Capricorn, the sign of thinking and communication) keeps him focused and on message. As a result, the press tends to give him an easy time; whatever's happening behind the scenes stays there. One downside to this is that Kerry isn't great at rolling with the punches; an unexpected question can throw him into a tailspin, and spontaneity will always be a challenge, especially in dealing with tough (including personal) questions.

Kerry's Sun is in opposition to his Moon, making personal relationships both a major focus and a serious challenge. After his first marriage ended in divorce, Kerry took on the dating scene with the kind dogged determination he brought to his political career. After dating a number of women, Kerry met widow (and ketchup heiress) Teresa Heinz, who proved to be the kind of tough, independent kindred spirit this fiery Sagittarian had been searching for.

I hate to say it, but anything in the media directed at women seems to be, by definition, dumb. Good book on the topic is Myrna Blyth's "Spin Sisters."

Hey, I post it here to demonstrate the lengths the anti-Bush lobby is going to!

This is the kind of stuff that can actully sway thelazy citizen that doesn't bother to educate themselves--but will not dream of missing their daily visit to their horoscope page! A pretty shrewd approach targeted down into the interest levels and attention spans of the great unwashed.
We need to stay alert to this kind of crap.
They'd put it in the water if they could!

Can't argue with the stars.

I was about to buy into this when I checked my horoscope and it said I was too gullible and easily swayed by crap.

Most of the hardcore left believes the MSM is not just conservative-leaning, but literally conservative-controlled. I think it's a psychological necessity for them, since it's the only way much of their worldview can make any internally consistent "sense."

I guess, but it's simply delusional. Kerry has been getting such a pass that the race is still tight when Bush really should have a huge lead.

One would think that the Dan Rather forged documents might have clued them in on the truth. Oh, well.

These people are nihilists...understand only magic and mysticism...cannot use logic because logic would interfere in their selfish self centered lives. Tragic waste especially in the face of so much evil in the world.

It figures, though. Anyone dumb enough to fall for astrology is dumb enough to vote for Kerry.
