From the article by Guardian columnist Charlie Brooker:
"On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod's law dictates he'll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?"

It should have been him instead of Nick Berg.....
Good letter!
You mistake bilge for wit.
We also should try to get the power of the dittoheads on this one.
so don't worry about what I do.
I'm celebrating the fact that this guy is so miserable.
It's a Brit thing...like boot, bonnet and going "to hospital." Someone needs to teach them how to talk.
Hey, what about the Florida newspapers? Why not send them the article and link.
While we are at it, what about the other battleground states?
Actually I think it is funny - remember all the good times the Dems had on TV, rallies, celebrating Michael Moore, Sarandan - the whole lot of them including the Brits, everything was so much fun - making fun of GWB and criticizing America?
Now that Kerry is imploding so is his crowd - they are becoming desperate, angry, vicious but we can all sit here and enjoy their imminent distruction like crap going down the toilet. HaHaHa
I write to you to ease your despair over the longing to which you so rigorously desire of a return of killers from the past so you could murder those that do not share your political views.
Do not be disheartened.
A great charismatic leader for you and your kind is on the way.
As long as we have people like you and socialistic rags like the Guardian the future for the ghosts of Adolf Hitler and his Minister of Propaganda Paul Goebbels are alive and well.
Charlie Brooker, meet Cat Stevens. Welcome to the do-not-fly, do-not-enter-the-USA-List. Should do wonders for you professionally, never being able to enter the world's biggist market for writers and publishers.
these are allies? yeesh!
I suspect all Americans would be outraged by an article like that, but it sure wouldn't hurt in the battleground states.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for posting this. I just don't know where to start. There are so many lovely things I can say, but I think a measured response will be more effective. The Brits I know have always been our friends, and I think they are plagued by the same leftist scum which have clung to our shores for so long. Perhaps there is a spray or something we could use to get rid of it...
I have to think. There are so many ways this diatribe can be useful in getting Bush re-elected.
Bilge is good enough if it makes me laugh.
This
My letter to The Guardian:
To my concerned brothers and sisters in England:
First and foremost, let me apologize for my countrymen who criticized your yellow teeth, bad cooking, unattractive women and arrogant attitude. I really don't undetstand that sort of attack.
Thank you for your initiative in writing voters in Clark County, Ohio in an effort to encourage the Kerry/Edwards campaign.
I live in Florida and we need a bit of a boost for our own state. Would you consider a similar assistance for our voters? Just a few extra votes in each county would sway the outcome.
Many thanks,

did the trick.
Throughout the debate, John Kerry, for his part, looks and sounds a bit like a haunted tree. But at least he's not a lying, sniggering, drink-driving, selfish, reckless, ignorant, dangerous, backward, drooling, twitching, blinking, mouse-faced little cheat...
Sounds more like Kerry:
lying - Check
sniggering - OK, chortling, but still... Check.
drink-driving - Unknown. Hangs with Ted Kennedy, soooo...
selfish - "Do you know whom I am?" Check
reckless - Has endangered UN peacekeepers with his comments. Check
ignorant - As only a MASS liberal can be. Check
dangerous - As only a peacenik can be in a time of war. Check
backward - Cf. photo on tarmac. Check
drooling - Unknown. The Botox paralyis can't help, though.
twitching - Reference 2nd and 3rd debate reaction shots...
blinking - See "twitching". Check
Can't really make a case for "mouse-faced" or "little". "Cheat", on the other hand, is waaay too easy and we'll have more evidence soon.
Not sure what Booker's point was with all the adjectives, but he certainly described Senator Kerry far better than he did the President.

Following is a copy of the last sentence.
John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr - where are you now that we need you?
I don't know and I don't care who Mr. Brooker thinks he is, this statement goes too far. I personally think Mr. Brookers assessment of John Kerry is way off the mark, but it is his opinion. Thankfully his opinion is out of line with millions of Americans who do see him as "lying, sniggering, drink-driving, selfish, reckless, ignorant, dangerous, backward, drooling, twitching, blinking, mouse-faced little cheat." and a traitor to his country to boot.
By all means let Mr. Brooker spout his ignorant rhetoric about people and subjects he obviously knows nothing about, but someone stuff a sock in his mouth when calls for the assassination of our president.
