Anyone care to guess which major newspaper would run such a story? We know which ones we can rule out.

You know, these rumors are really annoying.

Telegraphing your punches reduces their effectiveness,
as Sinclair discovered (assuming they ever really had
any intention of running the full POW movie).

The Kerry Kamp now has 48 hours or more to pre-spin,
dilute and sic lawyers on this story.

If you've got a solid info critical of Kerry, just run it.

it will call into question--amazingly enough--John Kerry's truthfulness.

WOW!

That'll really rock the campaign. (But then Bush will say that he honors his opponent's sincerity, and such questions shouldn't be raised, and they'll go away within 36 hours.)

We just got a tip......that a major newspaper will break a front-page story Monday
morning that could create a serious problem for the Kerry campaign.

After listening to the insanity of Kerry supporters on Los Angeles-area talk radio
the past couple of weeks...
I'm convinced that if Kerry were caught in bed with a dead woman or
a live boy, it would boost his ratings.

Kerry's "supporters" (most folks already committed to voting for him) don't
give a fig what he's done or will do.
They just hate Dubya, Cheney, Rice, Powell and Christanity that they'll
vote Kerry.
No matter what.

Kerry doesn't have a foreign policy and hasn't for over 20 years. His last foreign policy was to slander all Vietnam Vets.

Let me guess: The Washington Times, The NY Post, or perhaps any of the other right-of-center newspapers that have a hard time getting noticed by the MSM? I mean, I'll read it and most of the people here on FreeRepublic will read it, but it will be buried elsewhere. Sorry if I'm feeling a little cynical - just getting too worried about this election.

Hopefully it also has to do with his less than honorable discharge...MSM has had this story for weeks and they're sitting on it!!

Drudge is the news breaker. If it will be in a newspaper, Drudge will run it first.

Won't matter.

If the press had caught Clinton raping his daughter at high noon in the Rose Garden, they would have either pretended they didn't see it or spun it so she was "asking for it".

At this point, the media has way too much invested in electing Kerry to report anything that would sink his election.

I find it hard to believe that John Kerry's truthfulness will be called into question. He's been lying for so long now and hasn't been questioned. Nothing has changed.

"and it will call into question--amazingly enough--John Kerry's truthfulness" This may very well be so. But the fact is, I don't really know anyone who doesn't already think that sKerry is a a lying weasel. Even his own supporters don't have that much enthusiasm for the creep. I really doubt that its going to have that much of an effect for voters to be told that sKerry told yet another lie. He tells lies all the time on Iraq. LOL! Bottom line, Bush is winning, and winning big, story or no story.

I'm crazy about powerline.com, but a "major newspaper" that would print anything anti-Kerry, means either New York Post or the Washington Times. I can't imagine the MSM paying attention to anything either of them print.

Well.....if the MSM did give legs to a story negative to Kerry, it would be spun into Kerry Kandy for their viewers and readers.

Speculation is pointless and will only serve to get us all up in a lather.

I'll not be holding my breath. However, I would certainly like to be pleasantly suprised.
