Powerlineblog.org: We Just Got A Tip (Breaking Story on Kerry?)

We just got a tip......that a major newspaper will break a front-page story Monday morning that could create a serious problem for the Kerry campaign. We don't yet have any details, but it relates to a foreign policy issue, and it will call into question--amazingly enough--John Kerry's truthfulness.
We'll watch for the story Sunday night and post it as soon as it becomes available.

I'm crazy about powerline.com, but a "major newspaper" that would print anything anti-Kerry, means either New York Post or the Washington Times. I can't imagine the MSM paying attention to anything either of them print.
Well.....if the MSM did give legs to a story negative to Kerry, it would be spun into Kerry Kandy for their viewers and readers.

Interesting take. I maintain that his unyielding criticism and denunciation of President George W. Bush's Iraq policy emboldens the terrorists just as much as the terrorist financiers. They're two peas in a pod. The reality is that Kerry hates the United States of America and wishes to bring our sovereignty under UN hegemony.

Speculation is pointless and will only serve to get us all up in a lather.
I'll not be holding my breath. However, I would certainly like to be pleasantly suprised.

"I'm crazy about powerline.com, but a "major newspaper" that would print anything anti-Kerry, means either New York Post or the Washington Times. I can't imagine the MSM paying attention to anything either of them print" Are you serious at all? The Wa Pro and the NYT ARE the MSM! Of course the rest of the MSM always pay attention to what the NYT has to say. That's where the network news get their headlines from.

Philosophical question for the forum: when is a tip not a tip? When the wife takes the generous tip you just left on the table for the sexy waitress.

Kerry's personal life? What he is actually is a gay man who gets dressed up in drag on the weekends and goes bar hopping? That would be fun to hear!

Anyone care to guess which major newspaper would run such a story? We know which ones we can rule out.
The World Journal and Tribune, Bugtussle, Oklahoma.

Powerline is reliable, and "major" may be correct. But how on earth is such a story going to get out and reach the voters, beyond the WSJ, WashTimes, and NY Post?
Drudge actually reaches more people than any of those sources. But he still doesn't have the reach of the network talking heads and the rest of the MSM.
There were numerous killer scandals in the clinton years, but all of them were squashed. Even the Broaddrick rape story, which did get out to a degree but was immediately buried and ignored.
Ah well, we can always hope. If the Hildabeast gives the order, this story could spread like wildfire.

If this is as big as advertised (slim chance of that, if any).....just when you get a tip you get excited wondering what it might be so that is why Powerline is hyping it up.....but if it is as big as advertised, even if in the Post, it will get press elsewhere.

But, it will have to truly be a big story, an incredible piece of investigative reporting.
Anything less than that and it won't spread.
