Joined by daughter Barbara, President Bush headed to the battleground state of Pennsylvania for a series of campaign stops. While in Pennsylvania, the President met with Roman Catholic Cardinal, His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Downingtown. First Lady Laura and daughter Jenna headed to new Hampshire to also campaign for the President. Earlier in the day, Bush signed the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act. The act authorizes the spending of $82 million for youth suicide prevention programs at college campus mental health centers. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
I am laughing because that is exactly what I do.... When I realize I am getting too upset - I can always go to HGTV or the Food Channel and take my mind off of things for a brief moment......Sometimes even when watching Fox.....
Check out the crowd in Hershey, PA in #17!
John Fund (author of Stealing Elections) was on John Bachelor's WABC radio show tonight. He said he believes there's a 75% chance that we will know clearly who won before Katie Couric goes on the air Nov. 3. It will take awhile because the networks will be skittish about predicting a winner prematurely. I'm taking great encouragement from that prediction.
Yep .. only Mr.Mo1 keeps getting nervous whenever I mention doing updates to our house ...
I'm really liking the hardwood floor idea and keep telling him he can put on in on the first floor of the house with nooooooo trouble .. *L*
what a beautiful presentation. The GOP should use this in the campaign. I bet it would inspire more than a few fence sitters to come to our side. I'll be watching this every night. Its a great soul soother after a day of sKerry BS
things are going ok for me down here but I worry for all of you up there and how nerve-racking the next week or so is going to be for you all. It's bad enough being all the way over here!!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers; keep the faith and maintain the rage....
Bring President Bush the victory he so rightly deserves.
Wow, that was some crowd!! Thanks for the ping.
"I hope this is an indicator that the Nov.2 election won't be close either!"
I sincerely hope and pray this is so. Days and weeks of legal hassling will wear thin all our nerves.
"America's teenagers are heading in the right direction, aren't they?"
These certainly are! I love to see the pictures of the kids, teens, and young adults (college age) getting excited about politics and getting involved.
Yes, I have read it and it's very encouraging!
From your mouth to God's ear.
However, I don't think Kerry's gonna concede anything.
Would someone tell me why teddy kennedy is in the oval???????????????
YOU GUYS...you forget, she is a lawyer and her show is SUPPOSE to be about what's happening in the courts! If they get boring I turn the channel.
I think most realize what a mess Hillary created and then Clinton compounded with bills like Hipaa.
How did Teddy K manage to get into the photo.
Great pics of the Bush rally or rallies.
And Barbara has turned into one good-looking lady!
Gotta be careful -- we don't want people to assume they can stay home and NOT vote. Everything I'm seeing is the Dems are going door-to-door and calling constantly so they aren't going to stop until November 1 at midnight (if then).
I heard today Bush has more money in HIS attorney fund .. which explains Kerry asking thg the FCC if they can use SOFT money for their attorney fund -- which MUST mean they either have to save for attorneys or spend on ads...
That's why I just can't believe he's still behind in PA... he's had HUGE crowds there. I've never seen any Kerry crowds to compare to Bush.
My take on the crowd sizes is this. Pubbies love W; dems, in the main, tolerate kerry and many will vote with one hand holding their noses.
But I think that there are still going to be a lot of dems that vote for kerry even though they won't go out in public to see him.
How is Ohio Issue 1 polling? I had thought maybe that would bring lots of conservative folks out to vote and help the President with turnout, but I read that the Cincinnati Enquirer opined against passage, so I'm confused now.
