A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 10.21.04

Joined by daughter Barbara, President Bush headed to the battleground state of Pennsylvania for a series of campaign stops. While in Pennsylvania, the President met with Roman Catholic Cardinal, His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Downingtown. First Lady Laura and daughter Jenna headed to new Hampshire to also campaign for the President. Earlier in the day, Bush signed the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act. The act authorizes the spending of $82 million for youth suicide prevention programs at college campus mental health centers. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Don't know about Geraldo. But I'm still wondering why is it that every time there's a hurricane, reporters feel the need to go stand in the middle of it to tell us it's windy and raining?

Things are going really well these days. Still don't have a job (though the temp agency claims they're finding something for me). But my first party for the President is on Sunday and I'm very excited about that. I'm also working on being able to run three miles a day and losing weight. Wanting to join the Air Force has become a great motivator for me. Lately I'd been upset because I still don't know what I want to do with my life but just knowing that I have something that I'm going to do (Air Force), even if it's not a career, has been really good for me. I haven't mentioned it again to my parents but my mom and I have been getting along better lately. Going on a diet tends to keep her off my back.

Glad to know someone is watching out for "W"! It worries me with such large crowds. Only take one nut.

My three cats are suspiciously quiet, and so are the two dogs . . . one dog is laying at my feet, and who knows where the others are??? Acutally they're probably ALL on or by my daughter's bed. All animals gravitate towards her. :-)

RE: hurricanes . . . have you noticed it's almost always MEN who are out in the storms??? (sorry guys reading this, but it's the truth).

Glad to hear things are going fairly well for you. Sometimes we have to do things to please our parents, but I hope the diet and exercise are for you, too. I sent a nice (only 2 line) eamil to my evil father-in-law because my mother told me to yesterday, so I know moms have a lot of influence. Thing is, she's probably right . . .

Sweet dreams and God's blessings to you and everyone--

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that you were being selfish!! I'm sorry if my post came out wrong.

I wish that you could get that hug and kiss! If President Bush were near you, he'd give it to you!

Hello! How are you down under?

I'll let you know if/when I find them. You be on the lookout too . . .

Chrissy Matthews just said the Pres. is not pro life???? What planet does he live on???? This election just might kill me. If, God forbid, Kerry wins I might not watch TV at all for the next four years.

Hello!

How are your kids?? I assume your overseas daughter has registerd and probably already sent in her vote . . . your out of state sons, too, for that matter . . . I'm sure you wouldn't forget that--LOL!

How does Ohio seem to you? Polls have it close, but you're out there in "real life."

Plus, she's obsessed with Michael Jackson, Kobe, or the Peterson trial

I can't handle all that myself ... gets to be a bit much when every night it's the same thing

The kids have all sent in their absentee ballots, and I've voted too, because I'm going to be a poll observer on election day.

It was FUN!! (I even checked for hanging chads! LOL!)

I tell you, homemom.........Ohio is going to go for Bush without a doubt. Moreso than in 2000. COUNT on it!

Texasflower asked me to post this for her; it's an update on her dad. He decided Tuesday to go into Hospice care. That means he wants no more treatment, but comfort measures only.

She reports he wants to go home to be with his doggie and family. The family is at peace with this decision. Thank God that her father is a strong Christian, and is ready to go. He wants to be able to vote, absentee, before he goes to his Heavenly home!

Please pray for her and her family at this difficult time. The are very blessed to have this time togehter to say "goodbye" even tho it will be hard.

I think today's rally was in Hershey,PA, in the lovely conservative part of Pennsylvania. Around Labor Day, I was fortunate to be at a huge rally (22,000) in my old high school stadium in Erie, PA, a city which usually votes 'rat. An excellent sound system was set up and we could hear everything very clearly. There was such love and enthusiasm for the President and his family that day. Many people came from long distances and stood for hours in blistering heat. I heard many say "I came here to stand up for President Bush." They were disgusted by the treatment he's received, after all he's done for our country. I hope you get to go to one of his rallies, too!

I think it might be close till the very last day . . . I'm so thankful that Someone is in charge Who knows what is best for our country.

Our daughter wants to go with me to vote, and so we'll go either early before school, or after. I want her to be part of it!

Here's a contrast to where you'll probably observing . . . I'll know all the people in the voting place, voters and workers alike, by name. There will be three voting booths, and we'll use a paper ballot and pencil to vote. There will be a red and white striped curtain to divide the three voting booths. There will NOT be a line!

So, what are you going to observe for? And who do you report any weirdness to? I pray that all the observers will have your passion and integrity, so any type or kind or hint of voter fraud will be exposed and "fixed" without any controversy.

Good grief, look at the size of that crowd!!! I'm getting really excited about this race. I don't think the Dems have a chance, even WITH all their fraud attempts!

Well I wouldn't want you to tell me and then have to kill me . . . I'm glad there will be people like you watching out and assuring a fair vote.

Sweet dreams.

Pictures were in Hershey PA. and it took us 2:45 to clear all 31,000 people in to the stands. The sound was great. And the people were having a great time. I rejected only 3 obvious Kerry supporters from entering.

At end of rally, a Whole 12 Protesters were there while all 31,000 people walked by and shouted them down.

This made volunteering all worth it.
