EAU CLAIRE, WI – Today, The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation, the state’s largest farm organization, announced its endorsement of George W. Bush for President. Today’s endorsement marks the first-ever presidential endorsement in the Farm Bureau’s eighty-four year history. 48,190 member families belong to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau.

“We are endorsing President Bush because Wisconsin farm families have benefited from his leadership. His support of initiatives in the state has helped agriculture grow to be a $51 billion part of Wisconsin’s economy,” said Bill Bruins, president of the Farm Bureau, and a dairy producer from Waupun.

“President Bush’s leadership on farm programs, animal identification, conservation programs, tax relief, renewal energy, and market development best complements the agricultural initiatives being pursued in Wisconsin.”

“We believe President Bush is the best choice for Wisconsin farm families to expand market opportunities, hold the line on taxes, and provide sensible leadership on environmental rules. We recognize the importance of having a President with initiatives that are the most favorable and consistent with the economic development efforts being undertaken by agricultural leaders in the state,” said Bruins.

Thanx for the ping.

I just handed out Bush-Cheney 04 and Sportsmen for Bush signs to our local FB representative. He says the rural vote is for Bush and all but a small cadre of farmers who are hardcore D's will vote for W. I have been hearing this since summer from veterinarians and insurance agents and salesmen: farmers are voting for W.

It is taxes and trade, IMO.

The Grange, though political, is non-partisan.

Rights, farms, environment ping.
Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from this list.
I don't get offended if you want to be removed.

Our daily paper recently reported on a dinner where local Supervisorial cadidates spoke. It stated that County Supervisor was a "non-patrician" office. (Instead of non-partisan.) As a County Supervisor, I kinda like that - lol. No airs here, jes folks.

Why do so many Freepers type "hugh" instead of "huge"? Am I missing an inside joke? If so, what is the meaning?

It is to poke fun at the misspelling habits of some on this forum.

That is why some also use the term "series", instead of "seriously".

The list goes on and on.
