"Stolen Honor" Showing Cancelled Under Threat of Litigation Tuesday, October 19, 2004

I don't know if you've heard this yet. "Stolen Honor" was to have its premier in a theatre in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia, tomorrow night. Former Swiftees and POWs were to be given the red carpet treatment, the whole nine yards. It was sponsored by WPHT 1210 The Big Talker in Philadelphia. They just announced--within the hour--that the premier here is cancelled because the theatre was threatened with litigation. Is this what free speech will look like under a Kerry adminstration if he gets elected?

Sinclair Broadcasting never said they were going to run the complete movie. Now what they are saying is that they will take out excerpts and play those parts. I would think they are goin to show the BEST parts.

Hate crime laws were utilized in the USSR and Nazi Germany, and undoubtedly in communist Cuba, Red China, and communist N. Korea to suppress/criminalize dissent {politically incorrect speech, thoughts, actions} against prevailing State doctrine/ideology.
Socialist authoritarians and useful idiots like Orrin Hatch have worked to have them legislated here. So the legislative framework is already in place that will allow the Socialists to define movies like 'Stolen Honor' as divisive hate speech should comrade sKerry be elected.

The ACLU was probably behind the threat. If not directly named, they are there somewhere in the background. The ACLU fights for rights only for the Lunatic Left.
Don't know if it is the same lawsuit, but Kenneth J.Campbell, a professor at the University of Delaware, who lives in Philadelphia, has filed a lawsuit against Carlton Sherwood and Red,White and Blue Productions.
Campbell is shown in Stolen Honor talking to Scott(The Assassin)Camil. Campbell also appeared on Hardball on September 9,2004, stating that "There was only one person in the Vietnam Vets Against the War that was uncovered as having been a sergeant when he said he was a captain.(Al Hubbard-Co-Founder)
Campbell was released from active duty (Marines) on February 10,1970 and was a member of the Inactive Reserves until 1973. However, Campbell took a trip to Europe in 1971 where he met wih a number of COMMUNIST organizations, including the Vietnamese. His partial diary from that trip reads like a mini Woodstock. I don't know. This is an ACLU tactic being used.....Instead of having to take on the big players, they go after the smaller and weaker.
I did read on another thread that the ticket holders were given copies of the film.

Showing in a theatre is not the public airwaves. What would be the claim of the suit?
Note that President Bush has made no attempt to prevent the showing of Fahrenheit 911 or anything else or to silence even his most outrageous critics. He understands the value of freedom of speech.

The shouter and the VietNam vet......
The woman shouter was a caller on Steve Malzberg's show this morning. She said that she was in a shouting confontration with a 'VietNam Vet for Kerry', whom she accused of being a traitor. I heard Doocy label them backwards this morning, and felt sorry for the woman.
All I can say is 'You go Girl!'.
