Give me a break, Pat Robertson is a play actor, I have never, never, never, ever heard him quote one scripture, yet he calls himself a Rev.
Robertson is more interesting in making a name for himself that what is WRITTEN!

This is not good. I don't believe for one second that Bush actually said this--why is Pat doing this?

the president told him, "We're not going to have any casualties." Either Pat Robertson is trying to undermine Bush for some reason, or Bush was having a "senior moment".
Sheesh.

Let me start out by saying that I'm no supporter of Pat Robertson. He shares the same leaky boat with the likes of Paul Crouch, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Oral Roberts, et al. With that out of the way, please explain if you will, what qualifies someone as a 'do-gooder'?

The founder of the U.S. Christian Coalition said Tuesday he told President George W. Bush before the invasion of Iraq that he should prepare Americans for the likelihood of casualties, but the president told him, "We're not going to have any casualties."
I'd check the Whitehouse phone records to see if this conversation even took place. Pat is either delusional, lying, or both. Remember when he said that if Bush "touched Jerusalem", he would form a third party and take a huge chunk of Bush's supporters with him? I used to think that Pat was just a little silly. Maybe he was at one point. But now he's got some serious issues.

You're right. bush never said there would be no casualties, and here's the proof.

If this was said, it was probably a marbled-mouthed attempt to express that their wasn't going to be the mass-casualty holocaust so many on the loony left were hoping for. Nevertheless, it will be a Kerry Campaign staple by 3:00 this afternoon. For somebody who has alot at stake, Pat Robertson isn't helping.

ROBERTSON IS LYING. ALL ONE NEEDS TO DO IS LOOK BACK AT HIS STATEMENTS ON 700 CLUB TO SEE HE WAS ALL FOR THE IRAQ WAR. I REMEMBER HIM SAYING HE HAD A MEETING WITH BUSH IN WHICH HE SAID HE TOLD BUSH ARABS ONLY UNDERSTAND FORCE AND THAT WE NEEDED TO TAKE ACTION. THAT WAS DURING THE CONTINUING PROBLEMS WITH THE UN LEADING UP TO THE WAR. HE IS DISCREDITED ON HIS OWN PROGRAM. BOTTOM LINE: HE WAS FOR THE WAR IN IRAQ.
To: bushfamfan
I agree....Pat Robertson was pro-war.
Is he lying now? I don't think he's telling the truth, but I also think he has some sort of self-delusion disorder that allows him to tell whoppers while believing them.
I reluctantly quit him 10 years ago...he just got too whippy.

"With that out of the way, please explain if you will, what qualifies someone as a 'do-gooder'? "
A 'do-gooder' is one who does what can be projected as a good thing, however the 'do-gooder' must have an audience so the whole world sees his good deeds.
Kinda like JFKerry 'faith without deeds'.
Old Pat just put himself up for a promotion and we will see what response 'God' gives. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and JFKerry have been getting all the reverend recognition of late and old Pat is feeling neglected.

Pat needs to join Carter and Ford in the old fools home.

Of course you would post something like this. I wonder if God told Robertson the President had secret plans for the draft also.
