With that out of the way, please explain if you will, what qualifies someone as a 'do-gooder'?

Jesus?

When you compare the life of Jesus Christ with Dictionary.com's definition of the word, then no, Jesus Christ does not qualify as a 'do-gooder'.

do-gooder A naive idealist who supports philanthropic or humanitarian causes or reforms. someone devoted to the promotion of human welfare and to social reforms [syn: humanitarian, improver]
