Has anyone decided to vote early? Were the lines long? Do you think long lines are a bad or good indicator for Bush?
Voted on Friday 15 October in Cumberland County, NC. In and out in about 10 minutes.
The ballot required the voter to individually vote for the pres. race as well as judges races even if voting straight ticket. ?? Anyway, the election worker was explaining this to every voter, and she kept telling everyone, "Remember to vote for the President!" I knew what she meant, but I found it rather funny.
That IS funny. Hope she didn't get in trouble over it.
I vote at the polls on election day.
A few years ago we had an initiative on the ballot, some information came out about ten days before the election, many people had voted early, lots were complaining that had the information been available earlier they would have voted the other way.
My wife and I did the early voting thing in Kalifornia. That's two more for W!
I voted early today in a small town in Orange County, Fl..It was about 4pm and the line was long. They said earlier the line was very long around the building. I saw two Kerry voters with teashirts on with the name Kerry on it and they said what a great guy he is and they hope he wins. The Bush voters in front of me said they know everyone's votes get counted just like in the year 2000 and they don't want any more hanging chads. I was asked for voter reg. and photo ID and if I got an absentee ballot. I was very glad to stand in line for 20 mins. and vote for Bush/Cheney and felt it was a privilege. I am not sure of the ratio of who voted for who but I suspect most were Bush voters.
Good report. I wonder what the other line was all about. Perhaps an attempt to discourage others from putting off voting?
I was going to go after work, but I ended up working late and didn't get much sleep. I'll be voting in about seven hours from now.
I envy you. I wish I could do it again. If I was a Dem I probably could.
Yeah. With any luck, I'll find one of those, "Votergasm," morons and throw 'em for a loop.
Is the media going to do Exit Polls at the early voting and then announce Kerry is ahead/the winner ala Florida '00?
I remember them saying that they're not, but we won't know until then.
I think so but it won't be done by the same group as in 2000 because that group doesn't exist anymore.
