Gov. Jeb Bush said Sunday he will not run for president in 2008 and defended his brother from critics who say the president refuses to acknowledge his mistakes.
The governor also denied a report that he knew of problems with a list of felons to be purged from the state's voter rolls months before it was discarded.
"I'm not going to run for president in 2008. That's not my interest," Bush told ABC's "This Week." "I'm going to finish my term."
Bush said he was not going to think about his next move until after completing his second term in 2006. In an Associated Press survey in August, more than a third of the state's Republican delegates said they favored Bush as the party's presidential candidate in 2008.

My point, which you plainly missed, is that the so-called Republican majority you claimed outside of NYC sure as hell didn't do squat in the last senate election. And you think they're going to get suddenly mobilized for Rudy when they couldn't even mobilize against Hillary? Give me a break.
see the map. the NYC counties that put Hillary over the top, those are the NYC counties that elected Rudy mayor twice. Even if Hillary won NYC as a 2008 presidential candidate, the margin of her victory there would be far less then it was in her Senate race - not enough to win her the state. The Dems have no way to win the presidency without winning new york state, toss NJ and Conn into the mix too.
And I note that you have no objection to his being anti-Second Amendment. Very telling, that.
On McCain's "pro-life" record, you need to stop drinking the Kool-Aid and pick up the facts, boy.

And now, (ahem) you're dismissed!
So you admit that Rudy's running will not assure that New York's Electoral Votes will go to the Republican side. That's been my point all along.

.S. Sen. Norm Coleman said Tuesday that he supports a "clear, focused, narrowly drawn" amendment to bar gay marriages.

In Minnesota, Republican Norm Coleman, who issued a pro-life challenge to Democrat Walter Mondale in Mondays debate, won the Senate seat formerly held by the late Paul Wellstone (D), who died two weeks ago in a plane crash. In his acceptance speech on Wednesday, Coleman said his first priority was to build strong families.

-- Bankrolled by the extremist gun lobby. Coleman's extreme views on guns have been rewarded with the maximum direct contribution allowed.
-- Has publicly stated his opposition to any new gun safety legislation including; reauthorizing the Assault Weapons Ban, requiring background checks at gun shows, and anti-trafficking measures such as limiting gun buyers to one handgun per month.
-- Supports legislation that would force police to allow almost anyone to carry hidden handguns in public places, like churches,
schools, and recreational centers.

He is Rudy's VP.
NYC is the city. even if he split the vote against Hillary in NYC, the rest of NY State voted for Lazio - no way Hillary wins NY State against Rudy with that math. Bush himself is running in a dead heat in NJ, Rudy would also take NJ. so where do the Dems go to make that up? will Missouri vote for Hillary? Texas? North Carolina or Virginia?
They are going to be running another relative of the Bush family.
This is who they are going to run for President. Bet the rent.
President Bush's nephew George P. Bush, the son of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, speaks Friday at a Mexico City press conference.
That hasn't stopped Republican and Democratic organizers from trying to get out the vote this year in Mexico, with both parties launching registration drives.
George P. Bush plans to meet with business leaders in Mexico City and later travel to large American communities in and around Guadalajara and San Miguel de Allende.
Bet the rent?
LOL!
I think George P is a bit young.
Which year shall I bet the rent?
Will he run for a governorship before running for POTUS?
Pray tell, which state?
Florida?
I don't want a Bush dynasty either. Zell Miller for 2008 President.
I like Tancredo and I hope he keeps doing everything he's doing about our Invader problem.
But, he's never going to be President. The RNC will block him from becoming anything more than what he is. He's a patriotic Congressman willing to trade away any political future he might have had in order to fulfil his sworn duty to his constituants. There aren't many like him.
He's putting all on the line to help save the life of Terri Schindler-Schiavo and maybe he's able to stick his neck out for her because it's not a risk for him to do so. www.terrisfight.org
This woman would be dead a year already if Jeb and the Florida Legislature had not stepped in last year and stopped her starvation and activist judges who are still fighting him on Terri's Law.
Thank goodness you won't be the one picking the next candidate.
Are all your posts that inaccurate?
Is there some particular reason you're out and out lying on this thread?
PC is an annoying little twit,
prone to lying. Recall him now?
I'd take that bet if I were you. Geez.
He hasn't answered me...lol.
No. I never pay attention to people who obviously don't have any facts to back up their posts.
I didn't bother to read his last post to me.
