My Review of the documentary, "Stolen Honor, Wounds that never heal".

Review of the Documentary, "Stolen Honor"

I just finished watching the DVD of the Documentary, "Stolen Honor, Wounds that do not heal", by Carlton Sherwood, a Pulizter Prize winning journalist and himself a Marine combat verteran from the Vietnam War. Simply stated, every American should see this film so they can hear the other side of the John Kerry story from honorable men who served with distinction and at great harm, pain, agony and sarifice to themselves.

When war hero, and Medal of Honor winner, "Bud" Day states in the documentary, unequivocally that "That man", meaning John Kerry, "committed an act of treason", there can be little doubt as to the veracity of the feelings or evidence to the fact. When you see the full documentary of the actions of the returned naval officer John Kerry and how it impacted those still on the ground in Vietnam, and particularly those being held as captives, and when you learn of the fraud, deciet and lies associated with John Kerry's senate testimony, when you learn that John Kerry, while still a naval reserve officer, met with then enemy in Paris and took their position...the stakes and ramifications of this presidential election take on an even more critical note over the very critical aspects of the current war and struggle we are now involved in.

We are involved in a struggle for the heart and soul of this great Republic. We are faced with a choice as Commander in Chief of our military and the leader of our nation of an individual who betrayed his comrades in arms and his nation for his own political gain, and who did it based on lies, fruad and deceit. He has never retracted those statments, he has never apologized or been held accountable for those actions. His twenty years in the senate is a clear indication that he has not changed...he will do it again. He is unfit for command and we must do all we can to defeat his campaign to become the President of our nation.

I would urge everyone to get a copy of this DVD and spread it around. Show it in groups at home. By extra copies and let your neighbors, relatives and friends do the same. This information must get out.

[ Quite a feat, considering that's more people than were living in the Soviet Union. ]

Ok a brain fart... some of them were NOT his own people... meaning Russian..

I fully support Sinclair. I will be circulating copies of what they broadcast. I will also be ordering Stolen Valor on DVD ASAP.

BTW, Sinclair is located in a town I used to live in (until about 3 years ago).

I am just about as pessimistic as you are, yet I hope to God you are wrong.

You don't have the standing on this board to make a statement like that.

But, but, but the Liberals on Capitol Gang tonight (Carlson, Hunt, et al) called it propaganda.

Buying a DVD and spreading it around seems to be the least effective method of distribution (Yes, I know it's all we have) but isnt there SOMETHING we can do to effect MASS distribution? News outlets can cover the DVD exerpts as news, creating distribution by proxy but why doesnt this have a deep pocketed distributer ala Micheal Moore?

My God, the Republicans may not understand media (e.g. distribution) yet but this election depends upon us ramping up our learning curve.

Where is our Harvey Weinstein?

Not to take anything away from the creators and the hard work and backing that went into stolen honor but Rule #1 of all media is it's one thing to create but the genius is in distribution.

"What if a DVD screamed in the forest that Kerry is a traitor, unfit for command but there was nobody around to hear it? Did it really make a sound?"

" We had a great evening last night as we watched "Stolen Honor" in the company of its producer, Carlton Sherwood."

Me too! It was a terrific event, and generated a lot of discussion about how to spread the word. A petition was started to encourage a local independent movie house to show it in our community. Carlton encouraged us to put pressure on Fox and on talk-show hosts to help get the word out.

This is a very moving documentary. I grew up in the Viet Nam war years, with nightly newscasts about the body counts and later, the protests. Kerry, Fonda, and Hayden were instrumental in sowing division and defeatism among Americans. Kerry has blood on his hands, and he will move heaven and earth to keep people from realizing it. We owe it to our soldiers and to our children to fight his suppression of the truth.

In the Tri-Cities region in NE Tennessee (Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol), it will air on Fox 39 on 10/22 at 9pm thanks to Sinclair!

This is so confusing. Most of us have never even heard of Sinclair. For example, I have Dish TV. Does the creator/distributor have any plans to pull all this together so that everyone who wants to see this movie can see it, can find it in their local listings or BETTER YET, can find it advertised and promoted as it should be?

What is happening now is it's only going to be seen by the clearly determined or already converted which are in reality one in the same. There are few things worse imo than opportunity lost- especially when the stakes are so high!

I believe you meant that Stalin killed in the neighborhood of 30 million...30,000,000.

Mao killed even more.

I believe we are facing some hard times...and that they will be made an order of magnitude worse if our nation elects someone like kerry. I didn't think it possible, but Kerry would be worse than Clinton.

Outstanding...thanks! None up here in Idaho I see...but that's okay, Kerry will only pull 20-30% of the vote here.

You'd be surprised - you might have a Sinclair channel and not even know it. That's what happened to me!

Sinclair Broadcasting, which reaches 20-25% of the TV market in America, will be broadcasting this on all of their TV stations next week. I think the creators have done a pretty good job in addition to the Pay per View, DVD, VHS and other distribution they are working on.

John Kerry, while still a naval reserve officer, met with then enemy in Paris and took their position....

Yes Jeff. And rumor has it he was stripped of his "top secret" security clearance shortly thereafter.

According to this report, not much time elapsed after this incident before John Kerry was discharged from his duties as a Naval Reserve officer. There is some question regarding the status of his discharge. This all took place in 1971.

Whatever it was, in 1978 (as I recall) John Kerry applied for, and got, his discharge papers reissued by the then-Secretary of the Navy himself. This after newly-installed President Carter issued a presidential pardon of all war-resisters and draft-dodgers. The 1978 papers depict Kerry's discharge as "honorable."

I dunno. Jeff. But this seems to be such an interesting story, I hope somebody in the media will track it down. To this day, Kerry refuses to sign the federal form that would enable the release of something like 100 pages of his military service records that have not yet been made public.

Kudos on a great post, Jeff!

Tonight, Al Hunt, on Capitol Gang was ragging on the producer of Stolen Honor and mentioned that he worked for the Moonie newspaper in D.C. (the Washington Times). He neglected to mention that the producer has also won a Pulitzer Prize, a Peabody Award, and numerous other journalism awards, making Al Hunt look like a copy boy.

I'm waiting for the transcript to show up and then I will email the smarmy Hunt at:

I'm in North Carolina and don't have a Sinclair channel, so I just bought it. It's inexpensive and came in just a couple of days.

I would suggest seeing if any clubs or organizations you belong to want to have a showing of it. They may be willing (they may also want to show some pro-Kerry stuff too, but at least you'd get this one shown).

It is very powerful and I'm so glad I bought it and I'm sharing it with my relatives. Any money that can help with the production costs that the reporter incurred would help him I'm sure.

I would also heartily encourage everyone to purchase FARENHYPE 9/11. You can get it online at www.overstock.com and it's around $14.00 or so. OR you can get the DVD and companion book for $24.99 with $1.40 shipping.
This is an EXTREMELY well done documentary. Completely rebuts Michael Moore's movie, but also adds a lot more info.
