Well, again, the president didn't answer the question.

I'll answer it straight to America. I'm not going to appoint a judge to the Court who's going to undo a constitutional right, whether it's the First Amendment, or the Fifth Amendment, or some other right that's given under our courts today — under the Constitution. And I believe that the right of choice is a constitutional right.

Since when to the COURTS give rights?
The Constitution grants our GOVERNMENT its authority - the rights are granted by God to "we the people".

I woke up the ol' lady and the cats screaming at the TV on this one. Got so upset I had to break out a few of my "assault weapons" and clean them just to calm down. Might seem like a waste but I'd rather clean a clean weapon than fire a dirty one.

Apropos of nothing, I noticed in a video segment Kerry doing his oriental/Buddhist bow thing. Anyone else see it? He places his hands, palms-together, in the typical praying position up near his chest and makes a small bow. What's up with that?

I caught that too, while listening to it on Fox XM radio.

I too was screaming at first at what he said then realized that his true self was coming through. I then got sad when I realized many voters are too uneducated to see how incorrect he was. I doubt most outside this forum even noticed. They prefer to talk about Cheney's lesbian daughter line...

Actually two points.

1) "Abortion" is not a right. The word appears nowhere in the constituion.

2) The constitution can only be ammended by legislative process, not a rogue judge.

As all else here, I thought Bush missed on this question entirely. He made his points, but he didn't exploit Kerry's blunders.

I am so glad you caught this last night. I think the neighbors heard me shouting when he made that Freudian gaff.
Never have I witnessed a political candidate make his treasonous political intentions more obvious. Anyone voting for this communist infiltrator is either willfully ignorant or despises traditional America.

100% agreement here.
It seemed to me that Mr. Bush was almost apologetic for his position. I'm happy that he stood his ground, but wish he would be more agressive.

Yesterday someone made a post about his appointment intentions that seemed to be nonsense and was removed by the moderator - as I felt it should be. Maybe it wasn't nonsense after all.

That should not have come as a surprise to anyone. The official democratic party line is that all largess – including what democrats recognize as temporary rights (the first ten amendments to our Constitution) – comes from The Government.
I see that as one of the primary difference between Republicans and democrats.

I still believe that we can regain control of our legislative representatives, but we MUST get everyone to PAY ATTENTION! This should be a wakeup call!

Unfortunately, Americans never get the clue until it is too late. The Legislature is OUT OF CONTROL and OUT OF TOUCH with mainstream America. IMHO, the poopy is gonna hit the fan. It is only a matter of time.
