Dear Friends! God is good! On Free Republic, we have prayed through two debates and have witnessed the Lord answering our prayers each time. Now, we have the opportunity to do the truly important work of praying through the election itself. With the constant stories of voter fraud, lies in the media, silence of the media, and current events all affecting how people feel about this election-- we need now, more than ever to not let up but to see this battle through. It has often been said that God's army marches on its knees, and this is so true. I personally (and I know I'm not alone) believe that one of the reasons that this battle has been so fierce has been because it isn't just a battle of political preference; rather, it is a spiritual battle against the forces of good and the forces of evil. Our President is not perfect, but he acknowledges God and relies on Him daily. John Kerry mentions God in speeches, but his stated beliefs and actions bear no fruit of a personal relationship or Godly influence. Evil will try to destroy freedom, for America and abroad. Evil will lie and distort the record. Evil will divide and demean. Evil will not value the life of the most innocent. Evil must not win.
Please join with us in signing up for an hour of prayer during the week prior to the election. We are organizing and entire week of 24 hour a day 7 day prayer so that evil will not win. God has blessed us as a people and He has blessed this nation. But, if we truly wish to see this republic remain free, then it is incumbent upon us to make sure that we do not lose faith or hope in the Lord's abilities, that we persevere, and that we yield ourselves to the knowledge that prayer is the most important thing we can do - and having done all, we can stand.
May God bless the Free Republic & May God bless President George W. Bush!
Praise the Lord! He has heard and as always He delivered!
Count on me 8PM each night.
How about 12 am Eastern for me.
Roger that, Viet-Boat-Rider!
I can only commit to ten minutes per hour out of each hour I'm awake, which is usually 8 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. May I make a suggestion, though? We keep asking, but we must remember to thank and praise the Lord for what He has done and what He is going to do. He has given us a wonderful president and has brought us through great tribulation. We must thank Him for the way he has un-stuck the president's tongue and let the truth shine forth in the last two debates.
Blogger, will you please add my sister, new freeper pkswan to your ping list for this?
I will take 10am Sunday and Monday before the election.
