Bloggers all over Sinclair advertisers
Posted on 10/12/2004 6:40:28 PM PDT by dmw
MSNBC's Hardball reporter David Shuster just announced that the bloggers are hitting hard right now contacting the advertisers on Sinclair Broadcasting telling them if they show the film "Stolen Honor" they are gonna boycott them. Not sure what is the best course of action for us. Any suggestions?

An emotional and pandemic reaction is unwise and regressive...fact of the matter is that the left is getting thier sh!t together and matching what we have been doing for years...
We had better stay ahead of the curve on this...fact harvesting, analysis and arguement presentation will win the day...our margins are being trimmed

however my life is not better and my husband works for a government thing. we are hated all over the world and i do not feel safer than before 911. i am working 3 jobs to help us make ends meet and i dont drive an suv nor do we live in a large home. we nee change Trudi, why would you vote for a president who wants to kill babies by abortion and do you think God would approve?
Do you want to work for thirty cents on the dollar? If you do, then vote Kerry, but if you want to hang on to your money and spend it, vote Bush!
A Kerry administration might mean you losing your freedoms, liberties and the right to free speech as well as losing your right to bear arms to defend yourself!
I pray that you will accept Jesus in your heart and then the truth will set you free~! Grassontop

To Sinclair. If you post your advertisers, I'll buy their products.
PS. Michael Moore intends to show Faherenheit 911 on election night. Who's boycotting that station?
Looks fair and balanced to me.

The media elite and their elite pals in academe are desperate to create the illusion that there is a liberal "blog" equal in numbers to (their term) the blog of conservatism. There is not. Their game remains the same, use their elite, centralized command power to create an illusion of widespread popular belief for their views as they diktat them. The flaw in their illusion remains the same. The vast bulk of the population, upon whom they look down, is not allowed to participate in shaping their views. An actual canvas of popular opinion, if asked in the context of the question of whether or not the views of those participating in "Stolen Valor" have a right to be expressed (and to date they have been suppressed by the Lamestream) would reveal that there is a right to air the film and express the views of those featured in it. The elite will go out of their way to avoid the asking of the question in those terms.

"Any suggestions?"Yes, I have a suggestion. Get a contact list of all Sinclair's sponsors, post it here and we can all write them and thank them for supporting the fine programming at Sinclair stations and offering us such excellent products. A few thousand of those communications should do the trick.

You are exactly right. Here's a site with a list of their advertisers and advice on how to boycott, I'm sure we can put that in reverse:

Trudi,
I was going to respond to your rather pathetic post. However, I checked out what my fellow Freepers said in response to you and believe that you have been outed for the fool that you are. Have a nice day.
Glad to be here, MOgirl
