Due to an overwhelming volume of anti-Semitic posts in their forums JohnKerry.com has finally been forced to disallow all anti-Semitic posts.
From Jewsforkerry:
The forum is no linger allowing hate to be posted to their boards, in direct response to complaints from concerned citizens like you!For those of you who missed it, here's one small example of what was being posted in that forum (a lot of it is just not suitable for a family-friendly site such as this one):
"We are advised here that this issue [Israel] is highly sensitive. Why? Because one dare not tell the truth about a Zionist? Because calling them what they are is not polite? Because we are too used to their dictating to us? Zionists Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith, Bolton etc now make our policy."
Here are some excerpted comments from our site members about their experiences on the official forum:
"I get nauseated every time I open one of the endless 'blame Israel' threads."
"Last night a person posted an anti-Semitic comment (one of just several), and after I objected, this moderator chewed me out for doing so."
The good news is that these forums threads have been stopped - the Kerry team has realized that this was not how the party should be represented, because it doesn't reflect the party.
I was not surprised at all to hear that a large portion of Kerry voters are blatant anti-Semitic. The shift in liberal thought regarding Israel is becoming more and more apparent. It is very clear that liberal sympathies lie with the Palestinians and not the Israelis. The scary thing is that the Jewish electorate either hasn't picked up on this shift, or doesn't really seem to care.
The Michael Moore left is very much anti-Semitic. It stems from two different reasons:
First the Arabs have done a terrific pr job to convince the left that the Palestinians are the persecuted under-dogs in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In the 60's and 70's the world view was that Israel was a tiny spec among hundreds of millions of neighbors who wanted to kill them. After all they had Egypt Syria and Jordan surrounding them. They are out-nubered in the region by 100 to 1. Yet somehow the Arabs have turned peoples attention from that discrepancy. Now the conflict seems to focus on the big bad Israelis against the small weak Palestinians whose only means for self defense is to blow up innocent Israeli women and children.
Next, the liberals traditionally have an appeaser mind set. When we were attacked on 9/11 the Conservatives were immediately interested in striking back to protect America. Liberals by contrast struggled to understand why the terrorists attacked us. They hoped that if we changed whatever it is that we were doing that angered the terrorists then maybe they would leave us alone. That's called appeasement. That is akin to giving the terrorists what they want.
Many liberals have come to the conclusion that Americas friendship with Israel is the reason why the terrorists hate us. This is classic liberal backwards logic. After all the terrorists are attacking in Russia, India, France, Great Britain, Iraq, Spain etc.. Many of those countries clearly support the Palestinians over the Israelis.
Contrast all that with the pro-Israel stance that conservatives have taken. Conservatives overwhelmingly understand that Israel is on the front line in the war on terror. They understand that abandoning our allies and friends because the terrorists want us to is not the American way. It is however the European way. This is why we've seen many European countries like Spain and France act so quickly to appease the terrorists.
In the end the most surprising aspect of all this is that in the face of these clear shifts in party philosophy the Jewish electorate is still slow to come around to this new way of thinking. The Jews continue to fool themselves into thinking that the anti-Israel/anti-Semitic wing of the Democratic party is a small one and not representative of the party as a whole. The reality is that a large percentage of liberal are very much anti-Israel. Michael Moore, Al Sharpton and Howard Dean, are all examples of extreme left wing anti-Semitic leaders.
When Jews vote for Kerry they will be voting to hand power over to their enemies. They will be voting to hand power over to those who would destroy Israel. For a man who by his liberal nature will not be able to fight off his instinct to appease.
I'm one of them. I fight with my parents (in their 70's) all the time. My mother said to me this a.m. that America is her home, not Israel. And that she's anti death penalty and how Bush loved signing the bills to execute people when he was Gov. of Texas, and yada yada yada, go figure. Can't believe I"m their daughter, I'm sooo the opposite. Oh and I was told I'm not smart enough to vote, that I don't know issues and haven't been around long enough to understand politics..BTW..I'M 50!!!
I am both a Jew and a proud conservative Republican. I too am baffled by the fact that George Bush does not have 100% of the Jewish vote. The problem is that most Jews believe that the democratic party is their ally. They are unwilling to accept the fact that no President has been as friendly to Israel as George Bush and they are unwilling to admit that the left is rapidly becoming anti-Israel. That being said, I have seen an increasing number of Jews joining the right and supporting our President. In fact, Newsmax recently ran a story about the high number of Russian Jews who are favoring Bush. The Russian Jews typically place support of Israel as their top priority, and they do understand that George Bush is the best ally Israel has ever had. Also, Ed Koch has supported George Bush because he knows that to win the war on terror, (in the United States and in Israel) we need a President who will stand up to the enemies, not one who will appease them.
""I am a Christian (you know one of those Torah hijackers) and a conservative and I am committed to the preservation of a Jewish state.
Even when I am insulted.""
I completely disagree with the "hijacked the torah" reasoning. Recent surveys showed us that ove 60% of non secular Jews support Bush for President. The thing about American Jews is that even though they are identified as a religion "jews" the majority of them are secular and actually dislike religion. That's why some might have a problem with evangelicals. It has more to do with the fact that many evangelicals wear their religion on their sleeves. Secular Jews are uncomfortable around religion.
Contrast that with observant Jews who appreciate the shares morality and values with evangelicals and Christians as a whole.
Politically speaking, Jews ARE stupid... For instance Italian Jews supported Mussolini at the beginning...
You arguments about a the differences between secular and non-secular Jews is sound. The same could be said of all people who are uncomfortable with religious faith whether they be nominally Christian, Jew, Muslim, whatever.
Would you believe that I found this story on a Jewish Pro Kerry site!?!?!
They actualy thought it was a positive thing that johnkerry.com is censoring anti semitic posts.
I think its a great thing that Conservative forums don't have any anti semitic post to censor!
Wait until they find out neocon is a liberal code word for Jewish Republican.
Agreed
By the way...I do think it OK for anyone to rip into the French all they want. :)
Also, you can't question sKerry's patriotism.
Release your 180 form sKeery!
""Wait until they find out neocon is a liberal code word for Jewish Republican.""
People laugh at me when i inform them of that.
Amazing, I've seen criticism of these same people on FR but have always seen them referred to as NEOCONS, which simply identifies their philosophy. I've never seen anyone make any reference to the fact they are Jewish. Yet, the right gets labeled as haters when the real haters are on the left and their labeling of people based on religion or heritage.
Tell your Mom that as Governor of Texas, the only control he had over the death penalty would be to issue a 30 day stay and there has to be a valid reason to do so.
No Governor of Texas, whether democrat or republican can stop an execution except to issue a 30 day stay pending a new appeal.
I agree. The thing is that those Jews are fading fast. The younger generation is much more conservative then their parents. Bush actually won the Jewish vote among 18-29 year olds in 2000. This year that group is 18-34 years old. The nembers are shifting.
I email mine (older brothers and sisters) all the time about Bush & Kerry and their reply is "Oh, she thinks she's so smart now that she moved to California."
You see, they are all Democraps, bigots, racist and Jew haters. Little did they know that I knew what they were since I was quite young and couldn't wait for the day that I could move away from them.
It is much easier to love them from afar then put up with their whiny drivel everyday, even in my own home.
