I've seen a lot from the so-called pundits this line about women voters and I think it's laughable.
I agree with the author that Black Women were never in play, but White Women, the ones who'll vote in huge numbers, are interested in security now above all else, and in no way did Kerry appear strong yesterday on security.
Moreover, women like strong, confident men. It's always been so.

Why do we have an article from a male talking about the womens vote? Many of these pundits are just plain stupid.
To: MarlboroRed
No way. Real women can't stand girly-men.

Why was it when Kerry was talking, I saw some women in the background giving disgusted looks? They didn't roll their eyes, but one fat woman looked like she could puke.

This guy is pretty arrogant to think he knows what mannerisms cause women to vote the way they do. Arrogant fool. Maybe women vote on the, um, issues, bonehead?
To: MarlboroRed
Women who were turned off by Bush last night aren't women any more than Kerry, the metrosexual, is a war hero.
Any women turned off by Bush last night are adolescents who buy into the feminization of men that Oprah has been pushing for years.

"As I smelled it, the most important thing that happened in the second presidential debate is that George W. Bush lost a good chunk of the women's vote."
Laughable is correct. The author seems to be simply attempting to push forward what I would describe as "wishful thinking".

Its called standing up for yourself, personally I found it very attractive compared to how Kerry acted. Kerry was very whiney with that its just unfair to label people line.

He did not lose the women.
The democrats are not grasping the fact that women are not soccer moms any longer; they are security moms.
They will be for some time to come.

According to the CNN focus group last night, Bush won big with the women. They even had one women say that based on last night's debate, she will be voting for Bush.
This author has it all wrong.

this MALE author is beyond clueless...I am a woman and watched it with 2 other women and, without a doubt, Bush slayed the dragon last night.
and for anyone concerned, almost ALL of my female friends are voting for Bush...without a doubt

What about the fact that he quashed a Kerry Campaign inspired rumor by saying: "FORGET ALL THIS TALK ABOUT A DRAFT. THERE WILL BE NO DRAFT DURING MY PRESIDENCY".
Does anyone think that didn't help him with the women vote?

Michael Tomasky obviously doesn't know women.
We saw a strong, self-confident guy take some dignified whacks at a posturing girly man who is so vain and self- centered we want to scream "EMPTY SHELL!" every time we are exposed to him.
Kerrry is the epitome of every posturing, people-using boss, professor, teacher, etc., that women have had to put up with 'looking down at them'. "I'll have MY girl call YOUR girl"...
W is the brash, happy, slightly 'bad boy' that everyone wants to know and be with. The fact that he seems to know what he wants, and surrounds himself with experienced people who know the way, is comforting to everyone, not just women.
