IT was almost impossible for Labor to win the election and unseat the Howard Government, Labor powerbroker Senator Robert Ray said tonight.
"I think at this stage of the evening it's going to be almost impossible for Labor to win this election," he told Channel 9.
"We are too far behind in too many seats at this stage for victory."
Senator Ray said Labor would probably come out of the election with fewer seats in the House of Representatives.
But even if Labor lost seats, he believed Opposition Leader Mark Latham would hold on to his position, he said.
HOWARD MOST LIKELY TO REMAIN IN POWER
Now, lets just follow in their footsteps and keep the good guys in power here. :-)
This bodes well for us.....

Live Thread going on.
We should now get Kerry's sister to vociferously campaign for her brother here and may we get the same results!
Kerry's sister, who worked AGAINST HOWARD - must be suicidal tonight, I HOPE....
It's amazing...
A candidate for President, has his sister attempt to unseat the President of a country whose forces are our ally in the war against terrorism....
Leftists have NO honor...NO character....NO loyalty...
F'em all...

Yes, I think it does as well.
Polling and MSM are always going to be telling us what we don't want to hear about our chances of winning this election. But, in the main, our Aussie friends think a great deal like Americans. Seeing that they're supporting conservative values in their country is a better reflection of popular opinion than any poll here - at least I'm thinkin'.
NO!!! Ya think?

I'm still wondering why President Bush or VP Cheney didn't bring this up specifically in one of the first three debates? It's too late now because the final debate will be limited to domestic issues.
Not at all!
The war on terror IS a domestic issue... There will be no "domestic" life if we lose the war on terror....
Now that Howard seems assured of VICTORY, the next debate would be a PERFECT time to point out that Kerry was on the WRONG SIDE AGAIN....
Looks like traitorism runs throughout the Kerry family gene pool...

Now wouldn't that be a real kick in the freep, if Howards wins in Australia and Bush can't win here.
OMG!!! Persish the thought! We gotta keep workin'! :-)
I really worried that Howard would lose, and Australia pull out of Iraq. This victory for Howard is a defeat for the terrorists in Iraq.
Precisely. It sends a great message to terrorists that the free world is fed up with 'em.
WAAAA-HOOOO! Let's hope it holds. Call me a nervous Norbert but early reports had Aznar winning in Spain and Chavez loosing in Venezuela and we know how those turned out.
