Where did you find that? Unbelievably funny. The times were a little different then. Probably didn't even raise an eyebrow.

Here's a tee, compliments of the President's lumber company!

If John Kerry had a timber company, his "tee" would point down.

What was the best line...

I think it was his direct and forceful answer to the abortion question. After Kerry went on for two minutes with an answer nuanced to his base without sounding like he supports his base's position, Bush stood up and said, [as best as I can remember] "There will be no federal funding of abortion as long as I'm the president."

No nuance, just a plain and simple answer.

Terayza just got done saying that she felt all men are just boys, and that they need to be treated as such. She does only have sons BTW.

Many thanks for a solid thread considering a good debate in which our President's honest persona greatly eclipsed that Kerry dullard -- THE MOST LIBERAL SENATOR IN AMERICA!

Said our debonair President: 'I own a lumber company? Didn't know that. ... ... Want some wood?

That one is almost as good as the look Bush gave Gore when Gore got weird and walked over to him in the 2000 debates.

Not trying to nitpick a very funny thread, but did he say "Want some wood?" or "Need some wood?"

My unscientific poll shows "Need" leading "Want" 54%-42% with 4% undecided:)

Me too on your answer. That was the best real answer. The best answer otherwise was the "want some wood?"

From the transcipt from tonight's debate (FoxNews):

KERRY: And you know why he gets that count? The president got $84 from a timber company that owns, and he's counted as a small business. Dick Cheney's counted as a small business. That's how they do things. That's just not right.

BUSH: I own a timber company?

(LAUGHTER)

That's news to me.

(LAUGHTER)

Need some wood?

(LAUGHTER)

I stand corrected: it is "need some wood." Beautiful.
