Watch the crowd reacting to Kerry and Bush!
Posted on 10/08/2004 7:43:05 PM PDT by Ron/GA
Few people are approaching Kerry and everyone is crowding around Bush. Looks like a political statement to me!

Bush got the women when he stood up and answered that young woman on the abortion question. Kerry claimed to be a Catholic and then repudiated the most sacred tenet of the Catholic church. He did that twice (with the stem cell thing too). Kerry didn't remember that Missouri had already repudiated Gay Marriage by a very wide margin. Clearly these people are conservative.
Like Reagan, Pres. Bush knows what he believes, and he won't change to be popular. And a good answer that he'd let history be the judge.

" I own a lumber company?" Wasn't that great?! Whoever gave Kerry that info is going to wish they hadn't!

Huge crowd gathered around Pres. Bush. Camera panned out, Kerry walked around
aimlessly, started looking for people to shake hands with as people WALKED RIGHT BY HIM!
IF that audience was actually a bunch of St. Louis area "swing voters",
there should have been at least a small crowd of union members, university profs/workers
and the like rushing to shake Kerry's hand.
This sounds like dead man walking, politically.

I agree the last question was unfair. What do you expect from anyone from ABC though overall, most of the questions were good. Bush kicked ASS !!!

Yeah... he said he didn't want to name the names of his poor staff choices, to not embarass them on TV. I think we all know who he was talking about.

He put it correctly by letting people know that he'll let history decide if he was right or wrong...
You are absolutely right!!

Too bad you didn't actually see it. Bush looked strong and confident, Kerry looked rather lost, surly, and negative. Bush was on his feet, walking around as he spoke. He looked much better than Kerry, which counts with tv audiences.

Wrong...
you should have watched. This was about conviction. Bush had conviction in his answers and Kerry did not except when facing the president and attacking him directly. It was plainly obvious that Kerry did his best when looking at the President. He must Hate him. Bush was the recognizable leader we all got to know during 9/11. I beleive if you had listened instead of watched the Presidents speech at Ground zero you would have said it was ineffective. But is was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Bush won this one hands down. Kerry looked pale and goofy. He droned on and used a lot of politico-speak. Bush looked confident, perky, and on his game.
Winner: George W. Bush.

Did anyone happen to catch a video played on Fox and Friends this morning, show Kerry getting hammered by a reporter for flip flopping? I caught the very end of it, but I would love to see the whole thing. Kerry was really flustered by this reporter and after that he ended the press conference.
