As I was reading this thread, I was thinking how silly it is for the American public to decide on a president based on 4.5 hours of TV time instead of looking at the whole 4 years. To think that President Bush could lose because he is not slick, slimey and disingenuous as is Kerry is just beyond the pale. Kerry is another clinton. Bush is the real deal. It's sad that many in America think that style is more important than substance. So sad. Praying for President Bush and praying that the public wakes up in time.

I just remember when they said Bush won. I was jumping up and down and crying. Then when Gore wouldn't concede....let's just say it was a loooong night

I was a mess. I was 7 months pregnant and living in Europe. So, with the time difference, I was up for over two days with barely a nap.

I literally cried when they took it back. I wanted to come home and get the hell out of Germany but I vowed not to return if Gore became president.

I think this strategy is going to be mine, too. I nearly had a heart attack during the other two! I'll just read what they are doing here, and listen to Brit afterwards to get a real assesment of how it went.

I dunno Norm.

5 or 7 second delay might clear it up.

Think?

I didn't do any Christmas shopping, decorating or baking until about four days before Christmas. I did almost no housework, and ate nothing but Mac-n-cheese.

My husband used to call about every two hours from work for an update for his whole office.

Please God don't let it happen again.

WOW! Will you have an opportunity to be there?? Look, if he came to my little town, I'd take OFF to be there. Heck, I might (scratch that word -- I certainly WOULD) take off even if it meant ruining my perfect attendance!

Yeah, without your screencaps I'm a goner. You've been a goldmine for us here at FreeRepublic. I'm the last living person without cable - except for Don-o.

No drinking games for YOU.

I'm up for that.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We ask your protection upon this nation and wisdom for your servant. Help us who serve you have the wisdom and the courage to speak out for your kingdom and against the works of the enemy of life.
Please send your Holy Spirit to bless, protect and guide our President tonight and everyday.
In the name of our Lord and King, Jesus Christ.
Amen, Hallelujah, Amen.

President Bush worked his butt off the day of the first debate while Kerry was getting the Spa treatment. I feel good about this debate and think he'll kick butt and take names later! We should all say a collective prayer for our President at 6p.m... and while we're at it for John Howard in Australia that he will win re-election.

I literally had trouble functioning during those black days! Just the ups and downs of it all, never mind the 24 hour coverage. The best part: when republicans stormed the offices in Florida. It snapped me back into fighting form.

I can't stand it. It's difficult to watch Kerry disrespect President Bush and this country every day. It really is.

It angers me.

To see this fraud with no core principles repeatedly smear and denigrate a decent and courageous leader like President Bush, and belittle our efforts to bring democracy to Iraq..infururiates me.

I can only hope victory Nov 2 makes this all worth it.
