O"Reilly Wants President Bush to Apologize Friday Night
Me

Posted on 10/07/2004 10:41:05 AM PDT by JonDavid

Bill O'Reilly suggested today on his radio show that President Bush should apologize at the Presidential debate Friday for no Iraq WMD. If the President Bush did this in the way that O'Reilly wants him to, the President would be making a major gaffe. I could see the sound bites. President Bush has NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR. Also, O'Reilly says that Bush has to clearly win Friday or it’s over. He keeps on saying that the race is tied. IMHO, O'Reilly is spinning on several fronts: At the very least he is trying to get Kerry on his show, so he is pandering. The Electoral College Polls shows the President with a sizable lead. National Polls mean little. O'Reilly knows if the President says I am sorry for Iraq it would be political suicide. Again, think of the soundbite the Democrats would have. This would help Kerry. The President on Friday night needs to address Kerry’s record and recent Global Test statements. So why O’Reilly on his radio program the day before the Presidential debates is highlighting the Iraq WMD instead of focusing on Kerry’s record? He is doing this because that’s the only hope Kerry has. If O’Reilly was really a no spinner and WAS LOOKING OUT FOR YOU he would have STRESSED SUBSTANCE OVER STYLE and endorsed President Bush after Kerry’s Global Test and other policy statements after the last debate. So deep down, O'Reilly is rooting for Kerry. The latest Iraq WMD report clearly shows t that Saddam’s endgame was to get the Sanctions lifted and then restart his WMD programs. According to the report, SADDAM WANTED NUCLEAR WEAPONS!! It’s the intent. That’s why Saddam had to be removed form power. I also, believe that the WMD were moved into other countries, like Syria.

I am aware of that.

O'Reilly is also trying to get Kerry on his show by pandering to him. Sorry for the poor choice of words in my previous post.

Your first link makes sense, the second one doesn't unless that was just a way to make your point.

So some of us have another darn good reason why we won't listen to or support O'Reilly anymore.

Apologize for no WMDs. Give me a break. They could still be hidden, they could be in another country, someone else may have been building them and stopped...

And if they weren't there from the get-go, fine. That means our troops were/are in less danger. Regardless, Saddam was drug out of the spiderhole and his boys are dead, the terrorists are fighting over there instead of over here, the people are free and have their country, and the world, in particular our own country, is safer for it all. President Bush has NOTHING to apologize for!

So blow it out your butt, O!! I, for one, believe it's all part of the War on Terror and needed to be done!

No, he has always been one. He just continues to become a bigger and bigger one. Listening to what he says is about as informative as watching weeds grow. No, I would learn more by watching weeds grow.

It is obvious that O'Reilly thinks that since President Bush was such a gentleman in his interview with him that he can "suggest" that President Bush does this or that. President Bush is gracious but not dumb. He will do what is best for the safety of all Americans, (preserve our country's very existence to really state this correctly), without benefit of "advice" from talking heads.

Is Bill O'Reilly going to interview Sen. Kerry? If he has been refused, he needs to talk about THAT on his show not President Bush and the WMDs.

Don't watch out for the "folks", Bill. We can think all on our own.

He's gunning for someone's job, that's for sure.

Well, they really don't have anyone to replace DR at CBS next year ...

Get real O'Reilly . . .

They connected the dots in 1998 but Senator Kerry and MSM can't seem to connect the dots in 2004.

Here is an easy to read chart of what the media was saying pre-911 (and after): Connect the Dots...Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.

Maybe he thinks he is in the running for Rather's spot, but I don't think he has a chance.

If he does get it, his pandering to Kerry will make sense.

If he doesn't...well he is already losing viewers.

I have nothing against him for being so full of himself but it makes it difficult to watch him.

Especially that little spin thingie he does with his pen at his sign off.

If he asks Kerry why the country is so divided, you think Kerry won't hesitate to point the finger at Republicans and then OReally will say well there you have it. Its Bush's fault.

You are right....O'R....is off the reservation. Why
would any President, after making a decision for the good
of the country, apologize because of someone else saying
something that indicates the intelligence was not 100%..
just 95%....WMD ...Hussein himself is 95%..potential WMD..
a case can be made for this war anytime, anyplace, anytime...in spite of all the BS by liberals..including the
little "O"....He has lost his big..following...take note..
Roger.... Give him a wakeup call...now !!! Jake

Can we start a thread with an OPEN letter to O'Reilly and then sign all of our names?

I want BOR to say I am sorry for bloviating and spewing all kinds of rhetoric. He is nothing more than a big mouthed consumer, that's right a consumer. HE doesn't really produce anything, entertainment, possibly. He does help me educate my son. I use his show to educate my 13yo son on why he must know what he believes and how to defend his beliefs. BOR doesn't break any news stories he just supposedly reports them. I really don't need BOR watching out for me. I can do that myself. Thankfully I never bought any of his books. It would seem a waste of money if his books are anything like his show. UGHHHH........

Great graphic!!

Blowhard's head is swollen, gone rotten with ratings, but he doesn't have his finger on the pulse of America and he shall soon circle the bowl with the likes of Blather, Brokjaw et al.
