O"Reilly Wants President Bush to Apologize Friday Night
Me

Posted on 10/07/2004 10:41:05 AM PDT by JonDavid

Bill O'Reilly suggested today on his radio show that President Bush should apologize at the Presidential debate Friday for no Iraq WMD. If the President Bush did this in the way that O'Reilly wants him to, the President would be making a major gaffe. I could see the sound bites. President Bush has NOTHING TO APOLOGIZE FOR. Also, O'Reilly says that Bush has to clearly win Friday or it’s over. He keeps on saying that the race is tied. IMHO, O'Reilly is spinning on several fronts: At the very least he is trying to get Kerry on his show, so he is pandering. The Electoral College Polls shows the President with a sizable lead. National Polls mean little. O'Reilly knows if the President says I am sorry for Iraq it would be political suicide. Again, think of the soundbite the Democrats would have. This would help Kerry. The President on Friday night needs to address Kerry’s record and recent Global Test statements. So why O’Reilly on his radio program the day before the Presidential debates is highlighting the Iraq WMD instead of focusing on Kerry’s record? He is doing this because that’s the only hope Kerry has. If O’Reilly was really a no spinner and WAS LOOKING OUT FOR YOU he would have STRESSED SUBSTANCE OVER STYLE and endorsed President Bush after Kerry’s Global Test and other policy statements after the last debate. So deep down, O'Reilly is rooting for Kerry. The latest Iraq WMD report clearly shows t that Saddam’s endgame was to get the Sanctions lifted and then restart his WMD programs. According to the report, SADDAM WANTED NUCLEAR WEAPONS!! It’s the intent. That’s why Saddam had to be removed form power. I also, believe that the WMD were moved into other countries, like Syria.

I don’t know what O’reilly’s agenda is, but he is not looking out for us. Clearly his handling of 60 minutes and Memogate showed that he was looking out for CBS and not looking out for us.
Bill apparently believes that his high ratings are due to him as apposed to the great demand for impartial or unbiased news. We watched Bill because we wanted “no spin” not because we wanted Bill. He has betrayed that trust and it is time for us to send him a message that the spin really stops with our remotes and turn him off.

I think that freepers everywhere should blitz the media with emails telling the media to get off their collective arses and report this food for oil scandal and quit worrying about whether or not Cheney has met Edwards before. Talk about a stupid, useless bunch of ignorant fools. Roger Hedgecock is filling in for Rush today. He just interviewed a guy who told a shocking story about the food for oil program and what the media is not telling us about Sadam's WMD program. He has a book out. I forgot the name of it but its about how GWB is winning this war. He also said Edwards is full of it about when he said we had Osama cornered. He said there are huge mountains and it isn't as easy as Edwards says it is. He said Kerry nor Edwards have been over there so they don't know what they are talking about. Maybe Shawn will have the name and author of the book posted on his website. He tells a shocking story and I just can't believe its being ignored. Apparently France& co promised Sadam they would veto any attempt from the US to go to war and Sadam assumed the US would not go to war without UN permission. He said they hadn't reckoned with GWB.

Hello,

Good points! I, for one, want Bill O'Reilly to say he is sorry for being a total ass.

Glad to be here, MOgirl

O'Really is going farther and farther off the track. Roger Ailes used to be pretty savvy in the people he put on Fox. You have to conclude his hand isn't on the switch anymore.

I have heard of monday morning quarterbacking but this is going on in the third quarter of the game. We will not know for certain about WMD until Iraq has been completely pacified and their government is secure.
I do not believe this report. I fear the libs have had their fingers on this and will not believe anything until we are able to see a secure democratic Iraq.

By the way, Germany weaponry from WWII is still being found today.

Over the past year, I have noticed a decided shift in the thinking of Bill O'Reilly. At one point last year, I didn't even have to listen to know exactly which side he would come down on, usually my feelings ran in locked step with this guy. Recently, he has seemed to become self centered and dramatically more egotistical. What really hit home like a kick between the legs, was O'Reilly's position on the Swift Boat Vets. These are obviously honorable men with but one agenda, that being exposing a self engrossed egomaniac,John Kerry. Kerry, as it seems, held his image in higher esteem than did he his Country's honor. O'Reilly found these honorable veterans to be fools and poor sports. That's when I stopped deluding myself that O'Reilly, although he was on an obvious ego trip himself, was no longer the standard barer of no spin. His harsh treatment of the President and equating him as an equal to John Kerry breaks the Camels back. I have heard that O'Reilly will run for public office in the near future, and guess what party he seemingly has chosen as it's mantra? Sorry, Bill, no spin here. Your public is scratching it's head in disbelief.

O'Reilly is an egotistical, big mouthed AH. I don't know how many are aware but BO is a Democratic by his own admission. Some time back before the campaigning between parties started he said on his show that he was a Democrat.I stopped watching his program over a year ago.
He still belongs to the club where his roots are. He won't admit it at present, when challenged he says he's an Independent which in my opinion is BS just like the rest of what he says.

I used to love BOR and watched all the time. Now I tune in only occasionally to see if there is someone interesting I want to see. I used to leave the television on FOX all day long - even with the volume off - just to give them the ratings. Not now. Television is off until Brit Hume comes on; I listen to talk radio all day.

I find myself turning off Fox and Friends more often now, too. E.D. Hill is getting on my nerves. Julian Phillips ran me off from the weekend edition months ago.

What is with O'Reilly? Why does'nt O'Reilly apologize for supporting Saddam's regime, his rape rooms, his torture chambers, the mass graves? Protecting Dan Rather and going after Bush.

The WMD's were not the only reason we went to war. Saddam had violated all 17 UN resolutions. He blatantly violated the 1991 cease fire agreement. He was stealing billions from the Oil for Food program. He routinely shot at our aircraft in the no fly zone. Sheesh!

???????O'Reilly is getting crazier and crazier. Is it arrogance or plain stupidity? Is he trying to get noticed so he can grab Dan Rather's job when he is gone? I used to like Bill but after he tried to get Rush Limbaugh's stations when he was out for the cochlear implant, he has been on a steady decline.

O'reilly said in the 60 minutes interview with Mike Wallace.. he has been friends with Kerry for 25 years. This explains the O'reilly agenda.

O'Reilly is a petulant, egotistical, whiny opportunist. The only redeeming thing about his commentary is that it is merely self-promotional, and not driven by dyed-in-the-wool liberal stupidity. His initial calculations were that if he hooked into the legitimate outrage of millions of sane and principled conservatives, whose points of view had been squelched by the LSM for years, he could achieve virtually uncontested stardom in "Talk TV".

His naked ambition was revealed when Rush had his hearing problems, and Mr. Looking-Out-For-#1 eagerly threw his hat into talk radio to usurp Rush's audience without so much as a decent interval nor stated gratitude for what Rush had wrought.

His ambition-o-meter indicated a different opportunity when Rather was shown to be a shameless and inveterate liar. Thinking swiftly and without principle - he figured he could instead usurp Rather's audience by sleazing in through CBS's slimy back alleys. You could almost hear the huckster selling himself to the CBS bigwigs: "Look...I'm IT in talk TV...I built up the largest cable audience period...give me a shot at broadcast anchoring...and I'll get you guys back up at #1, like me."

In order to make himself presentable to these partisan p****s, though, he had to rapidly morph into a leftist. But...too bad for the big schmuck. Like a trapeze performer with bad timing, he jumped for the other rope too early, before CBS was willing to let go of their star slimeball. Now he's in free fall, dithering on which to turn and how to spin himself. Spin all you like, Bill, but there's no net where you're going, and I can't wait to see your ratings splat.

"He said Kerry has to come on his show if he wants him to vote for him."

Ho'Reilly has sold his soul to the devil for ratings.

That's what makes it so strange....his ratings will go down huge if he continues on this path.

LOL! I'll take it back and say O'Reilly has gone over to the dark side...

I don't watch him anymore since it's obvious he is nothing more than a two-faced show boat. NO ONE should doubt BOR's Loyalty and friendship with John Kerry and his blatant adoration of Teraysa Heinz.
